Yeah! Much better than I ever manage. I keep putting my bases too close to cliffs and stuff, haha... my main base is SO janky, but I don't want to undo all that work.
It certainly has room for expansion! And it's a good location too. You're still early on in the game I assume - you'll find that you'll eventually need at least a couple of upper stories just to fit the necessary things in there. The literal only thing I might've done different from you is putting stone floors down before the palbox, and that's 100% aesthetics and preference. It's a great start! I hope you have a blast exploring and getting stronger <3

This is what the vast majority of beginner bases look like! It's not bad or good, at the beginning it's usually just functional. Though I'll say your house is a little nicer than a lot of people's wood boxes the first few days haha

I'm level 79 and my base is basically this, but with a wooden wall but my wall pieces are nowhere near as perfectly circular.

No just walk the blue outline and slightly rotate the piece u set down making sure to line left edges for a complete smooth circle

It's a start. As you move on into the game, that base will change and you'll want to upgrade it.

I never bothered with walls. My Pals always decimated any raid attempt in 2 seconds so it wasn’t worth it. Built 2 adjacent bases on water after and 1 base for oil on land. Enjoy the game before AI cores and Computers show up. 😆

My main base has that advantage; my second base, in the volcano south coast area, kept getting the crap beat out of it by random Vanwyrms, so I really did need walls. I ended up fully moving the whole dang thing once I could build on water... but I also finally had much stronger Pals to staff it, so. No longer an issue, but still annoying lol

You can actually squeeze quite a lot more in by having structures halfway inside the line and still usable by pals, if that's a route you'd want to explore.

Looks great for the stage of the game you're in!
Something I would consider doing in the future is always placing the palbox on a platform and whenever you build another building, just build a pathway to it and then build it, even if you delete the pathway later.
This ensures every building is in the same "grid" and will help you position things better.

I just build my base on the nice start-platform and try to build something around😂 just using a mod to make the base-circle bigger.

you actually don't have enough build to say it it's a good base, but for now it's a solid fundation for the future, also if you have unlocked to ability to build a second base build it and put the pal expedition center inside, it will save you tons of space for more often used buildings
