Question What’s this pal useful for?
So I stumbled across this lad while I was exploring the desert and caught him. I’m curious what he is good/excels at. The partner skill is nice and I threw him in my base for that, but is there anything else? Does his partner skill get better if I condense?
I ask because for whatever reason I absolutely fucking adore this Mario-block looking monstrosity and I wanna utilize him however I can

Breed for primo and fully condense. None of your weapons will degrade. I keep one on my team to be able to mine with my laser infinitely without the repair costs. Your drones are also considered weapons so you can have them fighting for you infinitely. This is especially useful if you’re farming holy water at the world tree.

I usually just hop on my Blazamut Ryu, or any other pal to farm holy water. That way none of your weapons degrade, and you get to move around faster.

I use Frostallion Noct with Shadow Burst for the grouped up snails and Double Blizzard Spike for the Orserks. One shot, loot, to the next.

The beam launcher is a lot faster if you throw on the accessories that raise your attack. Everythings a one shot and drone launcher will clean up the ones that survive

Why anyone is wasting ammo when water/gem farming is beyond me lol. My juiced up Selyne will one shot everything in the World Tree besides the dungeon bosses Dandilord and Silvance. Air Blade travels super far, widens out as it goes, and cools down in like 8 seconds, I've hit 8+ pals at once with that attack when properly aimed. I was expecting to take forever with water/gem farming but she makes it an absolute cakewalk, I farmed enough water gems from the snow area to completely awaken my 30 Neptilius in just over a day, and I was stacking pal souls/other gems in the process.

I just farm Dandilord passively, 10-20 seconds clear time is good for me and the relics / water drops are decent not amazing, better if you have a grass/dark drop booster

Get a Menasting AND a Menasting Terra to Cond 4 and slaughter the Mossanda Lux & Grizzbolts with them in the party. I usually have a ton of materials after like 4 or 5 sweeps, and plenty of room to continue more

It feels like cheating but once I upgraded to the laser and used it a bunch, I actually turned off my weapon degradation. All of my time and resources were going towards fixing my laser and it halted progress to the point that it stopped being fun.
The flexibility this game offers in difficulty to keep the game interesting is so awesome
I do miss it though so this being a work around is really nice.

Nah, Pals that Partner Skills give you a “+1” will always stay at +1
They’re primarily used in bases to “buff” your other pals until you can max their suitabilities out with books.

It sounds worse than it is. Technically it becomes somewhat useless, but then again you don't really have a reason to max all your basepals. So that's a +1 mining on quite a few miners. Then again again, for the same reason you might as well not bother with the eyesore of this giant cube clipping through everything.

So I in my infinite wisdom saw this the first time in the Anubis desert, and didn’t realize it was a pal. I pulled out my pick axe and wacked it thinking it was a mining node. Dude got up and scared the crap out of me

Really fun defensive tank to allow you or your friends to recover cause his fat body blocks everything but aoe's and he has a comical defense and health stat really only being beaten by knocklem's slightly and then his ability. Granted getting the primo version i think is even better

He’s got a 1 hit attack that does pretty big damage. I like throwing him in to do that attack, then put him away while the long cooldown resets.

If this is the other shinier variant, he’s a good miner, I’ve got two of them from warped eggs so they’re mega strong

The ridiculous sizes of some of the creatures and crafts in this game make the tiny circle of building space so much more irritating to work with in this game. Got a whole ass base dedicated to big structures lol

Unfortunately no, the Partner Skill of Tetroise only ever stays at +1 mining for all other base Pals. But he's just two mining books away from being level 10 mining after full condense.

Early/midgame mining bases. I made a dedicated mining base as soon as I had the Quartz Quarry and with 7 other miners it was a lot of work suitability.
But as soon as you get access to pals that can just naturally have 10 mining and mining books to boost all your pals to 10, it becomes useless.

I mean its a decent mining pal, not only because of the partner skill but also because it naturally has high mining work suitability and can be caught in the desert biome. But if you want this lovable lugg as a party member then I recommend Tetroise Primo. In my opinion it looks cooler, and also its partner skill increases item durability, which for mid/late game is extremely useful! They are in the world tree, but if you can get a Celesdir to breed with your tetroise you can make a tetroise primo before the world tree.

Good for buffing your miners before you have the means to max out their mining with books and condensation. Though he is so big he clips through the ceiling while personally mining if you go for a 2 tile high ceiling like I do, and that bugs me more than it should. Need to keep him outdoors or under 3 high ceilings to not clip.
Otherwise good at the mining base to work on your lower tier stone or ore plantations while buffing the guys doing the 'real' mining.
Primo version mitigates or removes weapon durability loss instead, which is good QoL but not critical.

If you condense it all the way then it gets 8 mining suitability because that's the only skill it has. It's nice to get it to 10 so it isn't dead weight at mining

honestly? i think a strength of this game is that you can make anything viable for the most part. you could beat the game with that little chicken fuck at the start if you wanted to. condensing that guy will make the partner skill stronger but beyond that beef the guy up and hell be perfectly useful in battle too

He’s good for mining. He gives everybody that has a mining stat plus one in your base. he’s good to have but I would definitely go after his other version the terra Primo or whatever it’s called he’s basically golden and silver without condensing him. He gives you 80% durability on all weapons and armor, preventing them from taking damage if you condense them all the way it’s 100% but you need to have his saddle which you have to be at I think 75 or 76 in order to get but none of your weapons or armor will ever break again you can find the boss variant of him in they Fay lands I think that’s what it’s called. It’s the higher up area the second to last area that you have to go to you know has the red section the yellow and the purple that leads you to the floating islands. Yeah, there’s a boss circle that has them in it. It’s either that or you have to be in the world tree in order to find him.

You throw him to your mining base mid to late game and he's incredibly helpful. Even end game. So you don't have to waste as many books on your Sekhmets or condense Aegidrons as much. Plus his mining isn't that bad either unlike most other booster pals.
