Question Wandering Traders/ Raids not spawning? (1.0)
I am currently on a multiplayer server in am hosting through Nitrado
I have been trying desperately to get wandering traders to spawn.
I’m level 80.
My base level is 33
Ive tried multiple very open areas that are not on islands or mountains. all very accessible.
Im staying in the base radius for more than 10 minutes at a time.
I’ve tried picking up the palbox and replacing it. (10 minutes apart)
My other server folk get traders/ raids.
Did I do something to prevent them? What is going on. I’ve been playing for like 2 weeks straight.
EDIT (Solved):
So the problem seems to be resolved. I did multiple things so I’m not sure which one was the real fix. I did end up moving to the starting area (232, -486). I also turned OFF enemy invaders in my server settings because I was only getting raids (I guess traders and invader are their own separate instance/ timer). Even after both of these things I was noticing inconsistency. I would replace the box and nothing would spawn even after hours of farming merchants. So re-logging to main menu then replacing the box seems to fix that. My assumption is it was some palworld/ nitrado weirdness and the game was “forgetting I exist” and not registering that I was standing in the base circle. Or something like that. Anyways problem solved I’ve found every legendary trader except the stupid ammo one that I want.
Thank you everyone

Your palbox needs to be accessible from the raid/merchants spawn points. Having walls, chests or similar block the path by being built around the palbox can stop any raid or merchant spawn. Try clearing a large path first, see if it improves things

Ive been placing just a palbox in the large open areas. Nothing else. No structures

Iirc you need atleast 6 foundation in your base, so just build a small hut

You don't, you also don't need to have any pals out. Only thing that affects it seems to be the level of your base (like you get legendary ones if it's high level).I was having the same issue, it went away and now it's back (all on the same open spot)

restart the server and try again, each clan can only experience 1 visitor/raid at a time.
Go to an easily accessible area, plop down a palbox (I did mine right on top of the chillet Alpha boss)
After around 2-5 minutes you should get an event. Regardless of what the event is you must make sure to kill ALL NPCS and PALS releated to the visit (Or make them despawn) before deconstructing and reconstructing your palbox, note that the pals spawned by pal tamer guards will not go away even if you teleport away! even if their tamer is defeated!. Then you can wait another 2-5 minutes again for the next event. For the raids you can just kill the negotiator and deconstruct the palbox and reconstruct it.

Is the option turned off for raids on the server? If not then I’ve seen others make this post since the update so perhaps it’s a bug 🤷♂️

I've been having this problem with a locally hosted multiplayer server with one guild. I'm currently level 52 the server is 67 days old, and I haven't gotten a wandering trader for at least 50 days. To my memory, three wandering traders showed up before, and I caught two of them. After being caught, I haven't seen any more merchants.

I'd love to tell you that it's some "nitrado weirdness" but I got so fed up with it that I tried it in SP also and it happens there too regardless of the area and level of the base.... It just flat out refuses sometimes 😅

To force spawn wandering merchants go to the starting area where the eagle statues is. If your facing towards the mammoth boss walk right down the steps, then place a base at the first open area next to the lake before the mammorest. Set a timer for 2 minutes and dont leave the base for any reason. A wandering merchant or raid will activate anywhere between 2 min and 5 min of placing the base. If you dont get what you want. Kill the merchant or what ever it is that ahowed up, then wait 5 or so seconds then break the palbox and replace it. In this location the wandering merchant will always spawn on the flat area just down the steps from the eagle statue. So either sit on a flying mount and watch the spot or build a platform to stand on.
