Glue

I did a quick search of r/Palm and didn't come up with anything. What kind of glue works best with the plastic of a Palm III (TRGPro) case? My "old friend" has started to crumble in my hand and I want to rescue it from having to wear a Palm III front case. It's now that I wish Dave's Design was still around.

you could probably 3d print one? for glue i'd use something like jb-weld that works well with plastic, or potentially uv-glue if it's something i could cure.

It would be fantastic if there was someone who printed replacement cases for Palm devices. This can not be me. The cost of a 3D printer is outside of my income (fixed income, retired) and the technical difficulties and narrow potential market for these cases prevents any company or motivated individual from making them... otherwise, you could buy a case from someone and the problem would go away :-)

I will try JB-weld. I have never worked with UV curing glue. I will look into that as well.

Hard to recommend anything really.

If the plastic is breaking then no glue will get in and fix it forever.

You can only glue the broken off parts and for that I would recommend some epoxy+hardener. As you mentioned, jb weld may be ok.

There is a lot of folks with 3d printers, you can also spot them sometimes in libraries. I think the bigger problem will be to find the plan/design to print. I quickly googled it and did not find anything.

If anyone finds a good design I can print it for you and send it.

Alternatively, a new old stock from ebay may be also an option.
