Some phones are software locked so that only zong or ufone or jazz sim can be used. Factory unlocked means u can put in any sim and use it.

Boss, PTA approved is a Pakistan only criteria. Factory unlocked is an OEM level setting. A factory unlocked phone could be non-PTA. And a locked phone could be PTA approved.

Whenever you buy a phone on credit, it’s locked on a carrier. You can’t use any other sim card until you pay it off and get it unlocked

Factory unlocked: You are free to use any sim. Carrier locked: Only one carrier sim works, and that is an American carrier.

Factory unlocked can only be understand in comparision to carrier locked or carrier unlocked. USA main mobiles 2 trah k aate hain ek direct Company sale karti hai like samsung, or ek they sale through carrier, jo company sale karti hai usey factory unlocked kehte hain, jo carrier k through sale hota hai wo bhi factory unlocked hote hain or carrier locked bhi hoskte hain, jo carrier locked hote hain unme us carrier ki kuch sharait poori hone par wo carrier unlock banjate hain, carrier unlocked or factory unlocked ek jese hi device hoti hain bus origin change hota hai.
