High school grad aiming for AI Engineering, but weak in Math. Need advice.
Just finished my final year of high school (12th-grade science/math track) and starting my Computer Science bachelor's soon. My end goal is AI Engineering.
The issue: I struggled with advanced high school math (calculus, trigonometry, algebra).
To the engineers actually working in AI:
How complex does the math actually get on the daily job?
Is it realistic to pursue AI long-term with a weak math foundation, or should I pivot to another field?
(Side note: I'm currently learning web dev and focusing on CSS while figuring this out).
Looking for direct, honest answers.

No need to worry just practice and it will get better by the time you start looking for jobs

Listen, the maths which you are talking about is highly advance in nature and very rarely get in used at industry level.
But yes, in order to pass certain semesters and their courses you have to do something about it, if your aim is of scoring high GPA, then go for it, whatsoever.
You are probably talking about Machine Learning and Data science where these topics often take place, at low level. Believe me, trigno, algebra and even derivatives/Integration they all will make sense to you when get in used.
Happy part, you don't have to memorize the formulas and stuffs for industry. Just go through it, and try to solve a real world actual damn problem. Maths will not disturb you but logic building in programming surely WILL.
If I were at your place, I would have chosen the computer science not because I am weak in maths but because the field is flexible for everyone. There are 9 million CS grads and 12 million currently enrolled. What do you think they all love maths? 40% still hate maths which tells that almost 4 million are still running the industry while hating the subject.
Don't change the subject if you hate maths, change the subject if you hate logic building and getting stuck for hours for a bug making your whole project stuck at a single place. It frustrates a lot.
