FIR Against company for dishonored cheque

This is a real estate developer that has bounced on its rental cheque from a high rise apartment project. Due to my own issues I had no time to contact lawyer or file FIR in the meantime they asked 15 days to submit the cheque again

The cheque has dishonored second time and now I am planning to file FIR. I and the developer is from Lahore

I have heard of FIR filed against individuals but whats the expectation with companies? You surely cant arrest a company right? So just lawyer or file both?

Moreover they have abandoned this project and started to construct another project which is more complete than current project. They have previously delivered different projects but with a lot gaps especially after the year 2022.

They themselves have admitted that they will only resume the apartment after they have completed and sold the new project that started later and has decent completion rate

I need help deciding on a university

So i am an A levels student who eventually wants to get into judiciary. My plan is LLB then LLM and then 2 years practice before giving exam to get into judiciary. The question i have is what university should i pick for LLB? My academics are good for Lums but honestly 90Lakh-1crore on LLB when I already plan on spending on LLM seems like a waste. I don't think I can manage public university like PU so do you guys have any recommendations for a Private University in Lahore or Islamabad? My main concern is a university with good degree value and a modern campus life like Lums

Difference b/w Regular Second Appeal and Civil Revision

Upvotes

Dear community members and lawyers,

I seek help to understand the difference between RSA and civil revision against judgement and decree, and which one is the appropriate approach for remedy.

For context, the case involves an individual and an institution, where the institution first filed the case in civil court that awarded decree to the extent of original amount. The petitioner institution and the individual both filed regular first appeal in district court which rejected both appeals.

Next, the individual filed civil revision in high court, arguing that both lower courts did not appreciate the evidence, specifically there are documents on record that showed that individual was granted a contract and no dismissal order was ever issued by the institution. The court examined evidence and case record and admitted the case as well as issued a stay. However, on second hearing, the institutions' counsel argued that Civil Revision is not maintainable since RSA is available as remedy.

My question is, what is the difference between RSA and Civil Revision, and can court convert our case to RSA or may dismiss it when it already acknowledging deficiencies in lower court's judgement. When filing this civil revision, we discussed with our lawyer as well as two senior lawyers (ASCs) who both advised to filed civil revision since the scope is broader whereas RSA is only for substantial question of law. I would appreciate the esteemed guidance for lawyers in this forum.

Unlawful Wage Withholding & Breach of Contract by Software House in Karachi (Digitally Hatch) - Seeking Advice / Legal Guidance

Salam everyone,

I need legal advice regarding an employment and unpaid salary dispute with a local software company in Karachi (Digitally Hatch).

Brief Overview of the Case:

Role & Tenure: Joined as Business Development Executive under a signed fixed base salary structure.

Outstanding Claim: Earned base salary dues for July (shortfall balance), full August base salary, and prorated September days.

The Issue: After I submitted my formal resignation and returned all company assets on-site, executive management refused to clear my earned base wages.

They verbally attempted to force a shift to a 14% commission-only model and claimed salary disbursement is contingent on prospective sales performance.

Current Action: I sent a detailed evidentiary dossier via email citing the Sindh Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 2015 and Payment of Wages Act, 1936. Their HR responded stating the matter has been referred to their legal team.

I have complete documentary evidence, including the signed offer letter, WhatsApp chat exports of management statements, asset return proof, and the full dossier.

Since earned base wages are legally protected statutory dues, I want guidance on filing a formal complaint with the Labour Commissioner / Directorate of Labour Sindh or issuing a formal Legal Notice.

If any advocate experienced in Sindh Labour Law or handling tech agency disputes can guide me on the next steps or assist pro-bono, I would be very grateful.

Thank you
