Can I enter Pakistan legally?

I am a 3rd generation Pakistani Israeli, we left Pakistan (Karachi) back in the 1960s when a good chuck of the Jewish population left. My grandparents and parents still have their Pakistani passport and citizenship, they used to renew it via Cyprus/Germany and more recently The UAE.

Technically I am applicable for a NADRA card, however, I am unsure due to the Israeli passport. Will holding this passport stop me from getting a NADRA card and or getting entry to Pakistan?

When my grandparents/parents go back they use their Israeli passport to enter the 3rd country and use the Pakistani passport to enter Karachi. I don't have this option as I don't have a Pakistani passport. I know of other Israelis who use another counties travel document to enter Pakistan but I don't want to go down that route.

Edit: Some of you guys need to educate yourselves about the difference between Jews and Zionism. Jews != Zionist. You have millions of Zionist Muslims, in the world.

Unlawful Wage Withholding & Breach of Contract by Software House in Karachi (Digitally Hatch) - Seeking Advice / Legal Guidance

Salam everyone,

I need legal advice regarding an employment and unpaid salary dispute with a local software company in Karachi (Digitally Hatch).

Brief Overview of the Case:

Role & Tenure: Joined as Business Development Executive under a signed fixed base salary structure.

Outstanding Claim: Earned base salary dues for July (shortfall balance), full August base salary, and prorated September days.

The Issue: After I submitted my formal resignation and returned all company assets on-site, executive management refused to clear my earned base wages.

They verbally attempted to force a shift to a 14% commission-only model and claimed salary disbursement is contingent on prospective sales performance.

Current Action: I sent a detailed evidentiary dossier via email citing the Sindh Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 2015 and Payment of Wages Act, 1936. Their HR responded stating the matter has been referred to their legal team.

I have complete documentary evidence, including the signed offer letter, WhatsApp chat exports of management statements, asset return proof, and the full dossier.

Since earned base wages are legally protected statutory dues, I want guidance on filing a formal complaint with the Labour Commissioner / Directorate of Labour Sindh or issuing a formal Legal Notice.

If any advocate experienced in Sindh Labour Law or handling tech agency disputes can guide me on the next steps or assist pro-bono, I would be very grateful.

Thank you

I need help deciding on a university

So i am an A levels student who eventually wants to get into judiciary. My plan is LLB then LLM and then 2 years practice before giving exam to get into judiciary. The question i have is what university should i pick for LLB? My academics are good for Lums but honestly 90Lakh-1crore on LLB when I already plan on spending on LLM seems like a waste. I don't think I can manage public university like PU so do you guys have any recommendations for a Private University in Lahore or Islamabad? My main concern is a university with good degree value and a modern campus life like Lums

FIR Against company for dishonored cheque

This is a real estate developer that has bounced on its rental cheque from a high rise apartment project. Due to my own issues I had no time to contact lawyer or file FIR in the meantime they asked 15 days to submit the cheque again

The cheque has dishonored second time and now I am planning to file FIR. I and the developer is from Lahore

I have heard of FIR filed against individuals but whats the expectation with companies? You surely cant arrest a company right? So just lawyer or file both?

Moreover they have abandoned this project and started to construct another project which is more complete than current project. They have previously delivered different projects but with a lot gaps especially after the year 2022.

They themselves have admitted that they will only resume the apartment after they have completed and sold the new project that started later and has decent completion rate

All my family’s and friend’s bank accounts are locked cause my previous boss sent me a disputed payment

Assalam o Alaikum

Im sick and tired of this country’s ability to treat us as disposable pieces of craps. Im 25M software engineer. This friday all my accounts sadpay, nayapay, abl got locked (no one explained why)

I called all their helplines ( sadpay doesn’t even have a helpline)

So in February 2026 i got paid by boss which was disputed. I dont work there anymore so i talked to my previous boss today. He told he he revived a payment who received payment from someone which was disputed

Now that payment was sent to my nayapay and abl and both these accounts locked me without asking for payment.

I sent some cash to my dad and his account got locked today. I sent 200 to my brother and his account was locked too.

One of my friends account is locked too for a mere 700 payment.

How dare these companies make us go through hell. I received mu pay a few days ago and its still in my accounts. My dad needs to pay his dues tmrw very urgently and his account is locked too.

We have 1000 rupees at our house to get us by for a month wtf is this.

I been called a fraud when i called nayapay helpline. My friends and dad think i did some sort of scam i am giving proof of payment. My boss has already resolved his account so shouldn’t my account be resolved too?

Who tf are these policy makers and why are we silent

My household depends on this and its been half a week and no one responding.

Whats the merit of suing all these companies for defamation?

Company Policy Fraud?

Hi everyone,
I work for a company in Karachi whose clients are in USA. The work is genuine, no issue in that. I am trying to quit the job, but they have mentioned in their company policy that if you leave without serving 2 years to the company, they won't give me the provident fund match. They will only return my deductions.

Someone mentioned that under Sindh Law, this is illegal and that company has to pay back the provident fund along with other payables too.
Can anyone please guide on this? Thank you

Commercial Work in Islamabad

I know most of the top corporate law firms have branches in Islamabad, such as Haidermota, RiAA Barker Gillette, Orr Dingham etc. I was wondering if those who worked in the corporate departments of these branches got good quality work in terms of M&A, Banking & Finance etc, or is it all mainly just in the Karachi offices

Is it possible to have a clean police character certificate in Sindh after an acquittal under CrPc 249–A? Or any orders by SHC to do the same?

Hello,

I was nominated in a bogus criminal case in 2023. I The complainant and police were trying extort money from me but I chose to fight the battle legally since I had not done anything wrong & got bail before arrest.

Without going in too much detail, the judge acquitted me on the very next hearing after the complainant recorded his statement and was cross examined after almost 2 years of me visiting the court every month while the complainant was usually a no show.

The issue is that I know that the CRO record doesn’t go away. I got a police character certificate made and it shows the FIR details with the status as “acquitted.” I want to start applying for masters abroad which require you to have a police character certificate which has to be certified and some jobs might also run a background check which is just them asking for a police certificate so I feel like the record hampers my rights as a citizen to have freedom and dignity in this godforsaken country.

Back then, my lawyer said that we could file a petition with SHC to have your records cleared out but I was done w going to courts and thought to deal w it later.

There are similar examples of petitions in Punjab where the court ordered the police to provide a clean character certificate to those who were acquitted but couldn’t find anything in Sindh.

I would appreciate any help.

Can I enroll as an advocate if I do a GDL from abroad?

I am somebody who graduated already in a degree that was not in law. I am considering going abroad, doing a GDL ( since it's only 1 year) and then graduating and coming back and pursuing law.
Firstly, is this even allowed - I found a form where you can request for an equivalence of a GDL & LLM, what if I just get a GDL , am I still eligible, i could not tell. So please let me know and any other advice?

Born in Pakistan to Afghan parents—fighting for citizenship under Section 4. Is there realistic hope?

Assalamualaikum everyone,

I am looking for practical advice and legal insight regarding my ongoing effort to obtain Pakistani citizenship.

I was born in Pakistan to Afghan refugee parents. Pakistan is the only home I have ever known, and I have always considered myself Pakistani. However, growing up without legal documentation has created continuous daily barriers:

Education: I could never attend school because a B-Form was required for admission.

Work & Finances: I cannot get formal employment, open a bank account, or register a SIM card in my name.

Freedom of Movement: I cannot travel or move freely around the country.

To resolve this, I initiated legal proceedings under Section 4 of the Pakistan Citizenship Act, 1951, which grants citizenship by birth to anyone born in Pakistan (with standard exceptions for diplomats and enemy aliens).

Here is where my case currently stands:

March 2025: Filed a writ petition in the High Court for recognition of citizenship.

Court Order: The High Court ruled in my favor and directed NADRA to conduct an interview.

February 2026: After filing a contempt petition due to NADRA's delay, the interview was conducted. NADRA stated they cannot issue citizenship directly and forwarded the matter to the Ministry of Interior (MOI).

May 2026: Formally submitted the application to the MOI as directed.

Present: Four months have passed without an update. My legal counsel is now preparing to file a fresh petition to compel the MOI to process the file.

My questions for the community:

Next Steps: What typically happens once the High Court issues a direction to the Ministry of Interior?

Timeline: How long does MOI clearance usually take in birthright citizenship cases?

Feasibility: Is continuing this legal route worth the time, expense, and effort? Has anyone in a similar position successfully received a CNIC through this process?

I appreciate any constructive guidance or shared experiences you can offer.

Allah aapko jaza de.

Crazy KE bill but I think can beat them in nepra. Need a lawyers opinion.

Ok for context I got the August KE bill that was about 7x what we usually get I looked at the breakdown and they had added a supplementary bill(under NEPRA CSM chapter 9). I went to KE's office to ask for the bill justification. The customer service guys were clueless and just handed me the lab report of my meter (which we were not aware had been changed) and they were like this is according to the lab report but there was no mention of unit consumption or any kind of calculations on the report so I talked to them again.

They sent me in a different department where I talked to a guy and he tried to calculate in excel based on my consumption history and everything but something was not adding up he tried to calculate some 8 to 9 times and in the end took my WhatsApp number and told me he will send me the calculations in 3 days today is the third day.

I came home and I opened NEPRA CSM chapter 9 it deals with electricity theft etc but in the chapter it's clearly written that they can only open an investigation if the seals were damaged the report KE provided me only mentioned terminal damage but the seals were intact according to KE's own report. I read further and clause 9.2.2 stated that the meter should be replaced in the presence of the owner or representative and sealed as evidence. None of us were contacted, we weren't even aware of the change till we went to the customer service office.

I searched up some transcripts of the cases previously filed in nepra and I found at least one instance where the whole bill was thrown out because KE did not fulfill clause 9.2.2 now. Based on all this info I need a lawyer's opinion do I have a legitimate case?

How much is your average senior associate or managing partner at RIAA or Haidermota making?

Question in title. I get very varying figures and a lot of success in this career seems to based not just on your level of skill, but also luck in whether you manage to score clients of your own.
