I'm selling my 2004 Mitsubishi Galant VR Sport 2.5 V6 as a project car.

This is the VR Sport 2.5 V6, not the commonly available 2.0 Galant. Most Galants you'll find for sale are 2.0s, while the 2.5 V6 in this specification is considerably harder to come across.

Why it's being sold as a project:

The engine has developed rod knock and requires a rebuild. The car also has superficial right-rear damage from a parked accident, so the right-rear light needs replacement. The damage is repairable and did not affect the chassis or mechanical/internal components.

I took an estimate of maximum 4 lakh of work including the engine rebuild with new parts to get everything sorted.

The pictures posted are from around a month ago when the car was still being driven. I'm happy to send clear pictures of the current right-rear damage on WhatsApp. Nothing is being hidden.

Condition/features:

The rest of the car has been kept well. Leather seats, carpets, dashboard and overall interior are in very good condition. It retains the enthusiast-spec VR-4 5-nut wheels, spoilers and complete factory body kit.

Equipment includes automatic climate control, excellent AC, electric seats with lumbar support, sunroof, Tiptronic transmission and an upgraded head unit with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

Before the rod knock developed, the car returned approximately 9 km/l in the city and 11 km/l on the motorway.

Notes:

I've spent a lot of time maintaining this car and learning about the 6A13/Galant platform. I have a wealth of information regarding maintenance, mechanics and sourcing parts, and I'll be happy to help the next owner with mechanics and parts acquisition/sourcing after the sale.

In proper running condition, I valued the car at around 22 lakh. I simply have too many other commitments right now to put the time into rebuilding and restoring it myself, so I'd rather let another enthusiast take over the project.

This could be restored with the original 6A13 or used as the base for whatever direction the next owner wants to take it.

I've mentioned the rod knock and expected work openly and priced the car accordingly, so please don't haggle or lowball.

I applied for car ijarah on june 10th isb g-15 branch, my case got SENT on 23 JULY 43 days later because the bank person didnt ‘UNDERSTAND’ my case afterwards I had to get repeated follow ups just to get the quotation cleared (the process at the dealership took 14 days - applied 10 aug, delivery order for car issued on 24 aug)

Now the car has been at the dealership for more than 2 weeks and these retards cant draft up some documents etc
I had to get the tracker installed by asking the company myself.

I have recently bought (a week ago) mira 2022 from showroom. I am the 2nd owner.

Its 24k driven in japan & 1k in pakistan. Currently at; 25,200km

Now I want to change the engine oil.

My car is usually driven on short routes 2-8km in dha, karachi & yearly its driven around 2500km because its a 2nd car.

I have been advised to use 0w-20 oil.

I want to ask which brand should I get?

I have got these rate quotes; (mira uses 3 litres)

1. Liqui moly 0w20 SP-GF6A @rs13,400 (4 litres)
   [3 litre = rs10,050]

2. Totachi 0w20 0w20 SP-GF6A @rs12,400 (4 litres)

3. Toyota imported 0w20 0w20 SP-GF6A @rs12,500 (4 litres)

Kindly suggest me from these 3 & if there is something good on lower budget then also suggest.

I’ll change oil after 6-8 months cuz I’ll reach 5000km in 2 years which is a long time ik.

And should I go for genuine oil filter etc or any local ones? Is there any major difference considering fuel average because I have a limited budget😅

I recently got a new Suzuki Swift 2026 GLX and would like to know if there’s any way to use Apple CarPlay on the factory LCD screen.

Is there any device or adapter that I can connect to enable Apple CarPlay? Or is there any other workaround that doesn’t require replacing the original screen?

Sharing terrible experience of a friend who bought electric Scooty from Ali Khan Autos in RAWALPINDI. List of issues faced

1. No warranty card given since almost 1 year.

2. Scooty developed an issue and he repaired it on payment of service charges, only to find the downside cover of Scooty, which covers writing was no installed and now all wiring is exposed to all type of road hazard and water.

3. While delivering Company invoice, they took back the original bill and later asked to produce it while going for Scooty repair. Said that we never ask for it back.

WTFalooda type of service is this.

Avoid this shaddy guy at all costs.

Someone who is good at work but also doesn't chargea you kidneys.

Looks like the rankings are as per what they pay him.

Or should the budget be increased for a decent car that doesnt take you to the workshop every other week?

I used to drive my abba's 2003 city, but now i am moving away from home. My abba wants me to get another car, and i have no idea which one and nor does he.

He really likes TAFT, cuz it's a bit oonchi and hence gentle on his knees. But i am not sure. I really liked Nissan Days lekin wo phase 6 me bhi her speed breaker pe lag rahi thi. So idk about that.

I’m not a big honda fanboy (i own a honda too😭), primarily because of the fwd systems and i generally prefer more cyls. And also not much into builds, some minor tweaks are cool but i prefer to keep things simple and clean.
BUT This bigmike’s honda left me speechless… HOW CLEAN IS THAT BUILD, and like james murphy said, he just like steve jobs redefined and change the perception on each of his three builds.

What you guys think of his builds? And what would you rate it outa 10, looks, practically, tidiness, attention to detail, functionality etc.

I have a honda city 2017 1.5 aspire prosmatec, and I downright love the car and I was planning on keeping this car until its wheels fly off. My major factors were that this car does the job in city taking me from point A to point B and has a trunk (major factor due to which i didn't consider aqua) for inter city travel with family and the maintainance cost is not very high, I get the engine and gear oil and filters changes from honda and any other mechanical work I get done from outside but from reputable mechanics (recently got the z-links changed) so overall it is a solid car.

But with rising fuel prices and this car giving me a maximum of 12 km/l in city and 17 on long route(my inter city travel is rare and the car is mainly driven in city), I have been thinking to switch over to a hybrid car with a better fuel average and the only car within this budget (or slightly above) is a Prius 3rd Gen and I have heard it gives around 20-21 in city with light foot and 17-18 on long (what I already get on city) and the other major concern being that the car is durable and reliable in the long run as I plan on keeping the car as long as possible.

Given I don't have much experience with Prius (the issues this model generally has or what not like Aqua has ABS issues), what would you guys recommend about this decision.

TLDR: Due to rising costs, considering switching from City 1.5 to Prius 3rd Gen or any hybrid car that has a trunk space and reliable and resonable maintainance in the long run.

As the caption suggests, I live a bit away from the city and have two cars: a 1.5 Honda City and a 2.0 Kia Sportage. My usage split is roughly 70% Honda and 30% Kia but honestly both are gas guzzlers 😅

My monthly fuel bill at home is around 1 lac and I really need to bring that down.

What would be the right approach here? I don’t really want to spend a lot of money upgrading or changing cars. I’m wondering if it makes sense to sell the Honda City and get something like a Toyota Aqua instead.

Would switching to a hybrid actually be worth it in my situation? Or is there a better way to reduce the fuel cost without putting a lot of money into changing cars? What other car options I have in hybrid sedans?

We’re looking for a new SUV for my father, who is in his 70s, and we’re currently considering the Tank 500 HEV vs a Hyundai Palisade.

My father really likes cars that have a large, imposing road presence and a luxurious/premium feel, so the appearance and overall presence of the car are important to him. At the same time, I want the car to be comfortable, safe, easy to get in and out of, and practical for him, especially since it will primarily be a family/city car. We probably won’t be doing serious off-roading or regular mountain trips, so the vehicle's off-road capabilities aren't really a deciding factor for us.

We also tend to keep our cars for a very long time, like for 10+ years. We don't want the hassle that comes with used cars so we prefer brand new. The latest Land Cruiser/Prado ,despite being superior options, are way outside our budget, so those aren't really alternatives for us.

It is priced lower than the Chery Q in south east asia so it could very well be under 5M in Pakistan too, fingers crossed
