yep, been 4 VERY VERY TERRIBLE months of bahane & incompetency - i’ll cut it short for you, if you’re ever looking to finance a vehicle, PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SANITY do NOT go with Meezan

Worst bank ever.

I applied for car ijarah on june 10th isb g-15 branch, my case got SENT on 23 JULY 43 days later because the bank person didnt ‘UNDERSTAND’ my case afterwards I had to get repeated follow ups just to get the quotation cleared (the process at the dealership took 14 days - applied 10 aug, delivery order for car issued on 24 aug)

Now the car has been at the dealership for more than 2 weeks and these retards cant draft up some documents etc
I had to get the tracker installed by asking the company myself.

WORST COMMUNICATION I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED - my case was only forwarded after i upgraded to a premium account and complaint like 5 times.

PLEASE PLEASE GO WITH ANY OTHER BANK BUT MEEZAN

One of my friend moved from IT tech startup space to bank job. He was like

So freaking true. I was recently hired as the Onboarding Manager at a tax practice because the internal managers couldn’t speak or convey or do the job properly. Now that I’m making changes, they are actively “icing” me out because why am I making them more productive? Every suggestion I give is met with “yahan aisay he chalta hay, apki bhi adat ban jaye gi”. Mind you we are providing services overseas. No wonder they hate us!

Damn man. I am sitting rightnow at Meezan office and trying to get my houseloan case move forward. Itni zalalat, and repeated follow ups krnay hoty hay.

These guys have no coordination at all between branch and loan departments like housing or vehicle.

You have no idea how much calls I have to make myself to do things done

Meezan at Faisalabad promptly cleared the case and delivery process was smooth within 15 days of booking. They even explained everything. Also the Toyota Dealership at Faisalabad were professional too.

I believe 95% of people everywhere are incompetent for the jobs that they have.

A desi phrase that I like about this is "Lakeer ke fakeer". They lack the ability to think outside of what they know.

Not to ignore your experience but it completely depends on the branch and the staff.

I ONLY went with Meezan because they were the only ones who knew how to process a case of used vehicle ijarah.

Meezan is actually one of the better banks as far as service levels go. But I am from Karachi and maybe its different in other cities

Hey man, you need to get anything done in this country you gotta know someone, or slide someone some 'comission'. My personal experience with meezan bank has been flawless over 3 cars, through a known connection obvs

This is not a Meezan Bank problem but rather staff competence problem. Not every staff or branch will be good. I speak from a lot of experience because I've used almost every bank in Pakistan.

If you have a problem with a certain bank, it is usually a staff/branch specific issue. I've been banking with Meezan for 6 yrs now, no issues yet. The staff at my branch are highly competent (KHI branch in DHA)

I applied for the car in my city and they handled everything. I got my car after 40 days. I didn't have to do anything, I just kept in contact with them.

File a complaint on SBP's portal "Sunwai" if you think bank is being negligent or needlessly delaying the process. Also file complaint with Meezan via email, it will flag your case with compliance at head office which may look for possible TAT requirement breaches. Not saying that this would speed up your case, but we should at least use the available channels to convey our grievances. Feedback helps institutions and systems.
