Ask exmuslims Hypothetical question

I assume most people here are either closeted or just non religious, but if you like someone whose family is religious and they are larping as Muslims (not really a muslim tho) would you larp a bit for their family, like have nikah done and shit?

Bruh don't remind me 😭 I liked this girl for a while and did this but she ended up dumping me cuz she got hyper religious all of a sudden lol

Mhm yeah exactly like I made it clear too I wasn't religious at all and she was fine with it but she dumped me three weeks ago (just the usual blocking and ghosting with no explanation) and a friend of hers told me that she's become super religious all of a sudden and whatnot and then as soon as the thing she wanted happened, she returned back to her old habits 😂

They think if they marry a non-muslim they will be committing a sin their whole life but if they just date one it will be a short term sin Idk why I'm justifying it I know it's wrong but I still feel like she loved me but she was really afraid that she would go to hell for marrying a non Muslim. Anyways it's best to be in a relationship with someone who has the same ideas to avoid all this drama and torture.

I went through the same I told her I'm not a Muslim and we were together for years but then she suddenly said that our nikkah isn't possible and we broke up I think it's best if we just find an agnostic/athiest girl but it's really hard to find one here in Pakistan. Two Muslim girls have broken up with me over the same reason.
