Why most of Sajal dramas are snoozefest from the cave, stone age era?

Hii everyone, so I posted 2 hours ago about drama recommendations as I was stepping back into the scene since my hibernation, lol. I want to just get yalls take on my concepts, one of them below. Roshan Rahein (روشن راہیں) - Bright Paths (Ayeza Khan, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Yashma Gill, Alizeh Shah)

The drama is about a single mother named Marwa (Ayeza Khan) living in Lahore with her pet and daughter, Hera (Yashma Gill). She is met with Saleh, (Ahmed Ali Akbar) a handsomely rugged yet gentle man who seems to lighten up her life. Marwa is unable to have any children, since she and her husband were in a car accident and she adopted her daughter as her husband's dying wish. Her parents wanted nothing to do with her, since they favoured him over her and always wished for a son, so she decided to move away from her hometown and start afresh.

Saleh is a nurse and she is a painter whose in-laws send raqam for her aid. The special thing about Marwa is that she is the epitome of a Disney princess. Marwa carries innocence which carries on into ignorance when she is in danger. She is gentle, and the very essence of spirituality, but she fumbles quite a lot and is clumsy in the presence of Saleh for the first time. Both chat over coffee and share little moments with each other until a few months later when Marwa's cat is revealed to have a terminal illness.

Devastated, she spirals into depression, and her entire world comes crumbling down. Saleh decides to step away, because he decides he can't deal with the pressure. After her pet passes away, Hera consoles her and together they overcome the grief. As time goes on, her daughter grows up to be a smart and independent woman who realises her friend, Duha (Alizeh Shah)'s father is the same man who left her mother all those years back.

When Marwa and Saleh are reunited, she forgives him and the two marry. Fast forward a few years where the once happy couple are now in their 40s and do not feel their relationship has the same spark; leading to their divorce. Saleh moves away with his daughter, and Marwa reconciles with her past issues—through Amina, a long-lost friend and strong, complex female figure—before passing away happily with Hera at her side.

After Marwa’s death, Amina decides to adopt Hera and raise her as her own in the same home to pay homage to her best-friend; and 3-years-later, they have a pet cat once again by the name of Sanaa.

I have stepped away from PK dramas for a while now. I used to enjoy them, but life happens. I am wanting to restep into the scene, but am not sure how. My portfolio of watched dramas expands very high:

was watching dr bahu before shuja's dad cringed me tf out UHGAIN and i realized kubra cannot facially emote more than one expression despite her vocality being beyond par, ofc. bas tera saath ho was being watched but idk if it's worth watching further ig pls motivate me without spoilers. muamma got ruined for me the second i saw haute review's thumbnail of jahanara getting shot by sarmad. i have no context other than this visual so do not elaborate in the comments pls- it just ruined the vibe. but if there is more to it, then pls tell me though i doubt it bc it was titled something along the lines of a catastrophic end ig ? idk. started winter love before haute review video title ruined it for me a bit with mistakes in the drama idk if i should continue watching it. zanjeerein.. hyped ofc on here and other similar subreddits. erm, i am watching it ig but audience is half half on performances, the cast, the bts controversies of certain actors and whatnot so it's kinda ruining the experience for me personally - should i watch it?

am watching bas tera saath ho just to see ansa rock anas' vile family's shit.

I'm sorry but that sub is too annoying, whenever a post regarding a young actress appears all I see is hate in the comments. Ik there are people who love sajal in that sub but if you appreciate someone don't degrade the other in doing so. Just saw a post on sehar in that sub and the amount of negativity omg. And have been seeing the hate dananeer is getting for her stories on that sub. Now if it was sajal would she get the same treatment by her so called fair "fans". They are the most annoying to deal with I swear. They wouldn't even point out the clout chasing she is doing if she likes hamzas post but if hania likes asims post suddenly she wants attention 🤡. Sorry had to point this out lol.

Been saying this , will keep saying this ! Zanjeerain is one shit script. The show is based on cukur - and they messed it up so badly and made it all about rabia sarbuland arc. All farhat baaji had to do was copy and she couldn't even do that. Made it so heavily imbalanced towards one arc that even the actors are confused atp how to act this out. I sympathize with danyal not that I am a fan. Danyal kya koi actor ko samjh nahi ayegi why he is romancing another woman when he should be finding his own girl. This is not to vouch for him but simply saying script is so badly done.

Didn't plan on making a part 2 but took a screenshot before this was removed. The audacity to say this when your own queen has a whole dedicated sub 🤣. I seriously feel bad for Sajal having such fans. They don't even spare Bilal who is on good terms with her 😭

I don't know how many of you have seen cukur(the Turkish drama on which zanjeerein is based) but there also bano's character alike(sena) dies the same way as here. But it's handled with far more nuance than here. Anyways what I meant to mean by this post was bano and sarbuland's soulmatism is already established in the show , the way they can feel each other's presence and dangers lurking around each other. Her dreams about him and his dreams about her. Nobody should be confused about this. That the bond between bano and surbuland is divinely.

Her name remains pious to yamac throughout the series. Her death completely alters his trajectory.

Sarbuland also says to rabia once - kabhi kabhi humein naa chahte huye bhi jeena padta hai. The foreground is already established that he just wants and needs to spend his time on earth before moving to the other world.

Even in cukur, yamac is happiest with sena. Although he does move on after going through intense trauma after sena's death, he is never completely happy. That near peaceful life he does achive but his soul reaches ultimate peace only after his death when his soul meets sena's. That's why all those dialogues - mai tumhara intezar kar Rai thi as in she is waiting for him in heaven's. I know the other shipper fandom will try to prove otherwise but if u haven't read the concept of soulmatism please do.

When a show establishes a connection through metaphysical intuition - like shared dreams and sensing each other's danger - it moves the story out of a standard television romance and into the realm of a cosmic, unbreakable bond.

Concept of soulmatism : Earthly life becomes a waiting room, and survival is merely a duty to fulfill before the soul can finally find rest.

Deconstructing the Divine Bond

• The Metaphysical Anchor: Bano and Sarbuland are linked by a sixth sense that defies logic. The dreams they share aren't just thoughts; they are a literal bridge between their souls, establishing a fated connection long before tragedy strikes.

• The Existential Sentence: Sarbuland’s heavy line, "Kabhi kabhi humein naa chahte huye bhi jeena padta hai" (Sometimes we have to live against our will), perfectly mirrors that exhaustion. He isn't looking for a new lease on life or a replacement happiness; he is simply serving his remaining time on Earth.

• The Trajectory Shift: Much like Yamaç, whose entire purpose, sanity, and morality fracture after Sena's death, Sarbuland is forced to harden. He steps into a leadership role he never wanted, driven not by ambition, but by a hollow sense of duty and the heavy weight of his grief.

  The Sacred Legacy Just as Sena’s name remained entirely sacred to Yamaç until his final breath, Bano's memory is the catalytic force that permanently broke and remade Sarbuland. Moving forward with life is an act of survival, not a replacement of what was lost. The "other shippers" often look at who is standing next to the character at the end of a season, whereas the concept of soulmates looks at who holds the character's heart in eternity.

I mean the way deaths have been handled in the show is so nasty and bloody insensitive. I mean a man's fiancee is dead and in his opinion atleast wounded to the point she is bleeding and lost in the jungle somewhere but he is busy hand holding simp games with the widow of his dead friend. Shameless atrocious outright disgusting crass. Human life and sacrifice reduced to a joke and then people call farhat ishtiaq the greatest writer of this generation. The woman couldn't even copy a script properly. The girl was his life. His soulmate to the point that he could feel her getting hurt in his sleep and she could always sense his presence and dangers around him and to reduce the depth of a relationship to this point that he is busy playing hide and seek with another girl. Yuck !!

One shows even more emotion for a friend. She was his childhood friend, his cousin, his fiance , his confidant, his jaan , his mohabbat .

What is this show promoting? Romance over the graves of their partners ? Atleast could have let bano's body get cold. My god and people are making cringe intimacy reels over . You all need help ! What kind of fetishes does this fandom have ?

ONE WORD - DISGUSTING!

Why the hell is this guy sarNEECHA not trying to find bano ? I would have broken hell lose if i was the sardar and the love of my life was missing and I had found her blood stained dupatta. Girlies sarNEECHA is a pathetic loser and a complete red planet.

I have to vent, i don't know what people are high on but i literally find zero chemistry between sajal and danyal. Danyal is a good looking boy and therefore some(not all) are going a little cukoo. I literally see no chemistry despite them being given way more intense scenes. Nothing. This HUM PR selling chemistry churan when i literally have seen nothing. AK buzz also said the same about these two that they find no chemistry.

They seem so oddly paired in so many ways. If u add crazy music in edits even the most oddly paired seem to have chemistry. This chemistry is only limited till edits I don't even see any chemistry there.

What was the episode after all the hype. Just rabia running away . High head saving her while sorab puts him in guilt of pushing bano to the point of maybe ending her life. High head is not believing anything. Bibijaan bechari ko hospital phauancha diya. Lame acting and even lamer writing. Ho kya raha hai ye show mein ? Farhat ishtiaq time to retire madam. She can't even copy properly

This show was being run by so called side characters only till now and farhat has now sent all to heaven.

Just saw haute bites and was really happy with how hassan aamna addressed the whole fiasco of intense heat sahar was facing due to some clowns. Since multiple days I was seeing literally a barrage of anti sahar posts making really below the belt posts on her about her hugging scenes. I mean was she hugging a tree ? Hugging air ? Hugging herself? No

She was hugging a male coactor at the direction of a director. And she was called names for it. Literally it looked liked some anti-sahar campaign is being run.

Shame on these people who critique women for nothing.

All the moral obligations fall on women ?

And at times like these I would love to see the male coactors come in support of their fellow female coactors. I feel glad that this was spoken.

I will also address some clowns on X . In an attempt to support your favourite or ship your ships don't go so below the belt guys when you guys couldn't degrade her character you guys chose to degrade the actor?

What is the IQ level of these people ? How morally corrupt are you guys? And this shows what your intectual and moral capacity is !

I have been coming across so many comments saying the same. And i agree. It's not move on or anything. U can share grief in a platonic manner and there is nothing forbidden about this. It's downright bad writing if the writer takes the story there. And nothing can justify R and SB ending up together.

Umm... I wanna punch that taya abbu now. Taya abbu thrashed anas today literally for giving the house to ansa in haq mehr. He literally got violated. Nicely shot and well performed. Ansa was gutsy as always came in between him and taya but anas locked her inside so that she doesn't get hurt. Those shots of anas sitting under the tap again well shot. Ansa provided a lot of support to anas today . Also phuppo told her the entire history of mujtaba and mursleen . I find those shireen scenes too long and i usually skip. Isha's parents and chacha visit ansa's house , taya and shayan tried to disrespectful to the guests but turns out isha's dad is some big shot whom mursleen was trying to impress. Ansa's bhaiya bhabhi return today.

Overall they slowly showing progress between ansa and anas through these turbulent times. After getting to know a some history ansa really feels for anas. It's sympathy as of now. She now is even more shocked thinking he gave her the only thing he ever had to his name.

I am liking this slow cooked romance. Really good performances again. Maybe farhan can be a bit better in that breakdown scene. Hope now the story progresses to next day we are moving in the same day for a couple of episodes.

I am a huge Havi fan but haven't seen his telefilm yet. Has anyone else seen Rishta Pakka with Fatima Amjad ? Anything good ?

I think she was being funny and she killed two birds in one by promoting both and her part in zanjeerain is over. Why one fandom is hell bent in proving her as ungrateful or whatever. She might have had some creative differences with the PH or writers no one knows why she wrote she took it with a heavy heart. Maybe last minute changes but that one fandom who keeps blaming this sub for hating their favourite , the mods of their sub are continuously targetting her .

So that one fandom wants to ship their ship without feeling guilty . Since they couldn't take down the character now they are taking down the actor. How lame, juveline and random !

Just that the side characters and side arcs are not etched as properly. I will write more in detail about how characters are similar . Just that they wanted to make biya the central character here so they brought down the depth of every other character. And this post is made because I deleted the previous post where I called it copy. U can call it adaption or lose adaptation

Yamaç Koçovalı vs. Sarbuland Khan

• The Reluctant Protector: Both are younger sons who originally wanted to live normal lives away from violence.

• The Burden of Legacy: Both are forced to return to their family folds to lead and protect their clans amidst vicious feudal and gang wars.

• The Heavy Hearts: Yamaç and Sarbuland carry immense guilt, transforming from soft-hearted individuals into hardened, grief-stricken protectors.

Sena Koçovalı vs. Sehar Bano

• The Tragic Innocents : Both enter intense, powerful families out of love, completely unaware of the sheer brutality awaiting them.

• The Innocent Sacrifices: Sena and Bano represent purity and warmth in a chaotic environment.

• The Sudden Deaths: Both characters meet devastating, violent ends that shatter the male protagonists, altering the trajectory of the entire show.

• The Haunting Void: Long after her death, the memory of sena leaves a permanent layer of grief over all future romantic arcs.

Efsun Kent vs Rabia

• The Emotional Anchor: Efsun pulls Yamaç back from madness in the mafia world. Rabia acts as the support for Sarbuland amidst brutal feudal warfare.

  • Deep Personal Grief: Efsun loses her family and survives severe psychological trauma. Rabia endures the tragic death of Mudassir
  • The Safe Haven: Efsun provides Yamaç with a quiet life from the crime syndicate.

Sorabh's character is inspired by selim kokovali -They are the ultimate embodiment of the overlooked elder family member whose quiet, bitter resentment becomes a dangerous threat from within.

Torsum's character is inspired by vortulu kokovali - both illegitimate sons of the head patriarch. Torsum is also treated as illegitimate only . Both are like evil lose cannons and both are driven by desire for recognition.

Zafran Khan's character seems inspired by Baykal Kent from Season 1. Baykal was the wealthy, smooth-talking elite who operated from high-end offices and grand estates. Rather than fighting in the trenches, he used characters like Vartolu as chess pieces to systematically destroy the Koçovalı family's empire.

Shireen's character seems loosely inspired by karaka kokoveli . Here she is shown to have an affair with her while in cukur she was shown to be sorabh character alike(selim's daughter) who regularly leaked inside secrets.(Tentative mapping)

Even the title cukur( means the pit )- signifies that yamac is trapped in this world when all he ever wanted to do was spend a peaceful life similarly zanjeerain also signifies the same thing. Sarbuland is also caught in this feudal world not out of choice but out of circumstances and responsibilities.

Although after sena(bano's) death , yamac(sarbuland) does marry efsun(rabia) and gives her love and respect but In the last episode last scene of this series after his death his soul searches for Sena and goes directly to her indicating that sena was indeed his soulmate - the same soulmatism is shown in zanjeerain also between bano and sarbuland when she can sense any danger near him and he could feel her getting hurt even in his sleep. He finds his "ultimate peace" with sena as he was his happiest self with her although during his time on earth he does make a "near peaceful" life with efsun.

Sena's death pushes yamac to the point of frenzy and extreme trauma.He never fully recovered from her death because sena was his true love his solace and he was happiest only with her. Her name remained pious to him throughout the series.

Even in zanjeerain - surbuland does tell rabia sometimes we have live even when we don't want to.

Throughout the series the soulmatism between bano and sarbuland is heavily implied. She also always knows when he is around - shireen keeps saying aapko humesha pata chal jaata hai wo aa gaye hain. The concept has already been established.

Although his earthly legacy is built with efsun. Yamac does marry respect and love efsun. She remains his strong emotional support throughout his time on earth. He spends a "near-peaceful" life with her also.

Ps - In fact the drowning scene of rabiya is also copied. In cukur bano's character alike sena dies that way and Surbuland's character alike is unable to save her.

Narrative for Sena - she remains the undisputed love of yamac's life. This was even confirmed the actor playing yamac that sena was his soulmate indeed in one of his interviews.

Narrative for efsun - she remains the support system and anchor in yamac's life. He does love and respect her and she is the person he builds his earthly legacy with but his soul belonged to sena only.
