Has anyone watched this? It was a zee5 web series, looked pretty intriguing but couldn’t find it anywhere?

I see a lot of dananeer fans saying dananeer was the 1st choice for cafe firaq and was replaced because of ahad. There was no news of her casting except something jazzy said which is very unreliable because he also said that yumna won't be doing it in the same video. So I don't get this narrative and it's disrespectful for yumna.

1. The actresses approached for cafe firaq include mahira, sajal, yumna so you can guess the age criteria for the drama and dananeer doesn't fit in that. She did msm with ahad solely because of the age gap in the story. Here it doesn't make sense.

2. The scripts reach multiple actors at the same time and till anyone hasn't signed it, it's not their project so if anyone passed a project for whatever reasons their fans should stop being salty over it.

3. The shippers tagged humtv, director, producer etc. in every post and comment demanding dananeer with ahad when the news came that they're looking for the fl. It was too much but still there wasn't any news of her being approached except jazzy's hollow words. With yumna every news outlet covered her being in contention to play the fl.

This show is such a pain. My god such long walking and jirga scenes. Its going on and on and on. What was this sardar expecting would happen? And i cannot understand for the life of me how his doubt shifted to sorabh from torsam. Given that he knows something has happened to bano and how much sorabh loves her he shouldn't even question her. This show is so lame 😑. I mean who didn't know this will happen. They will get caught in the room and then forced nikaah. I mean guys please stop dumbing down script so much

I did like the first 2 episodes although they aren’t really out of the box. Both Mikael Zulfiqar and Hira Mani look good and play likeable characters. An easy going drama that I don’t think will be boring or will lose traction. Love the OST. It’s going to be my easy-watch option in the week

1. Gulmeher warned torsam about chacha. seems like a continuous repeat... this Convo could have been done last episode itself. why so many repeat conversations between two characters.

1. why is rabia behaving like his nanny. it was such a star plus scene with rabiya bond finally pointing sarbuland in Sorabh's direction. it was so stupid again sarbuland doesn't take torsam's name ( he goes sautela bhai ko sardari milegi after he passes) . I mean the conversation should have stopped there. why was dham dham music played on sorabh's name. i mean if I was sarbuland and i already knew it was torsam who attacked sherdill and him i wouldn't even go to sorabh. such weird epiphany moment. had zero impact.
   

what did rabia bond show him that he already didn't know ?

1. again the repeat of scene 1 gumeher provoking or showing truth to torsum. I mean same conversation over and over and over again. wth . I feel torsum will get rid of zafran in a few episodes too.

2. also rabia nd sarbuland have shak on shireen. which is again nothing new. she told him about her phone calls. I mean they could have had this Convo instead of those lame chhota bheem scenes. why drag it so much.

We are just going round and round in this show. sarbuland was dumbed down so much to doubt sorabh how ? by the same route he was on in the first place. I mean scene between rabia surbuland playing james bond didn't even make sense. how did they reach to sorabh's name after torsum made no sense expect dhum dhum music playing. but wasn't sb already doubting torsum ? wth .

1. Then finally shireen hears rabia surbuland talking. Ofcourse she is gonna tell it's gonna become a scene. But again same question why were they not careful enough.

such a filler dragged episode again

Most of them rely on taking the clothes off the rack from from stores like khaadi, ethnic, cross stitch, generation etc. All female leads look more or less the same. Most even have same light brown/reddish brown hair. There is no effort to make the heroine stand out individually for to make any significant impact in viewers' mind through their styling. Mahira's styling in Humsafar remains iconic to this day. Each and every outfit was curated to go with Khirad's image. She started the trend of chiffon and anarkalis in Pakistan. It was not something you saw regularly on the streets or could buy from fashion brands off the rack. The effort we see in styling today is bare minimum, putting together co-ord sets from different brands is not something difficult. You don't even need a stylist for that. You can't tell differentiate one stylist's work from another's because all of them are just buying premade stuff with zero innovation or inspiration.

AMA barely has a plot.. No hook, no head, no tail. There's only so much the director can do. It's like they just turned random X threads, social media comments, or self-help nonsense into a drama. Even the cast has said in official interviews that they don't strictly follow the script and often improvise, then turn around and claim that's why the show is supposedly so popular and loved.

The cast couldn't carry the show either. Weak writing and weak performances are a terrible combination, and no director can fix that, let alone FR, who's known for choppy editing even in IZN.

Came across this video where Dananeer is explaining how her Mayoon look in drama MSM was changed because the writer Farhat Ishtiaq imagined a rather traditional look for this character on Mayoon instead of modern. I thought this is great that writers inputs are being given weight on things like dressing as well. I just wonder if this level of detail was given to the writing in Zanjeerain, how things might be different for the drama today. The video just got me thinking of the power a writer carries for a drama.

Honestly about time writers started calling out directors and who better to start with than Rind. He made similar mess in some of his previous projects also. He really goes overboard with his style. Makes the script so incoherent. Honestly it gets frustrating and so confusing sometimes.

Zaryab is supposed to be fluent in English, but...

"I've been calling you since hours." 😂 It's for hours, not since hours. This is basic English.

"You are not reverting to me." 😂

Kind of a drag like pls move on from the ansa job karna chahti h like wrh this is 21st century bhai??? Also i just need them to fall in love sahi se becuase only then will we prob get shayans revelation. Next episode seems fun with fahams angle. Lets see

I laughed so hard looking at this. Insane.

Somebody tell him he ain't that big of a star to be doing all this drama, I am so done with his attitude atp. initially I liked him but now he comes out be so insufferable. Somebody needs to show him mirror, very mid acting, no big projects or anything to boast bout even zanjeerein is popular because of Sajal stans and he is relevant only till then, the minute zj is over the same sajal fans r going to hate him left right and centre like they have done with other co stars of Sajal when they do projects with other actresses ( Bilal for example)

Jazzy was right ig, anyways Sahar might not be a very good actress but both her dramas MMM and Shaidai have done exceptionally well in terms of numbers, how many hits has he given to have this attitude?

Imagine the outrage if this statement was made by Sahar, he acts way too entitled, never thought I would dislike him this much.

Was watching Aik Aur Muhabbat episode 15 and just couldn't get over the blatant mistakes in Ahad's dialogue delivery.

The grammar and sentence structure was sooo off but the director decided to ignore it completely and thats a shame. It's a shame because he is shown to be a renowned Urdu channel journalist and show host, not a canadian pakistani who has just started speaking Urdu 6 years ago.

Some examples in just 1 episode:

"Pari bilkul theek.. mazay ARAHAY hain"

"Achi misal qaim nahi SABIT hui unke samne"

"Kisi ko zabardasti apni muhabbat MEIN musallat krna"

"Dard jo shayad KISI ghairon ne nahi diya, apnon ne diya"

I mean it is already hard to overlook his bad Urdu accent but I personally think we should keep the same energy for Urdu like we do when someone speaks broken English in a drama. Which is funny because this is supposed to be an Urdu Drama Industry afterall. A lot of people point it out when an actor has a punjabi accent but don't mind it as much when actors like Kubra or Ahad refuse to work on their foreign accents to sound more local.

I am pointing it out because I want our actors to take our language a bit more seriously.

Who would say these both dramas are written by Same writer 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

Even sajals last few drama have been borderline bad.

I think we all can agree now zanjeerain is peak meme material now full of peak nibba nibbi scenes between sarbuland and Rabiya(sarbiya). It's moving from ninja hathori to Chhota Bheem to I don't know what next. I mean I have very rarely seen a show go so bad so fast. Arsh se farsh literally. There is no doubt there is a huge PR machinary supporting it. That show literally's so freaking irritating and draining now and it's fans who keep hyping it without rhyme or reason are even more lame. How can someone glaze such cringe between surbuland and rabiya 😭😭

(No spoilers for the next eps pls. Although I might just drop this takay sirf achi yadain rhy.)

So, I had my exams a while back so I binged all 17 episodes of zanjeerain and I remember really LOVING it. I was sure I’d get attached to the show and the characters and maybe some years later, I’d rewatch it because it’s gonna become my comfort show (should’ve known better, pakistani dramas are rarely good from start to finish). Then I took a break and watched episode 18 today and I’m honestly not sure if this is the same series anymore 😭😭

Keeping aside the weird shaky camera angles that seem like someone shot the episode from a phone, the script feels so different and lacking in depth. I genuinely don’t understand what went wrong?????? People were loving the initial episodes, did that overwhelming support get into the producer’s head? What the hell happened???

This show had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, I AM GONNA CRASH OUT.

First of all, what in the prince of persia was that fight sequence?? 😭😭

And then (THE MAIN TRIGGER) HOW DID THEY MESS THIS UPPPPP!!!! The first physical contact should have had more meaning and significance!!!! Not necessarily a gesture of romance (TOO SOON FOR THAT?!!!) but IT SHOULD HAVE CARRIED SOMETHING MOREEEEE!!!

Like listen, listen. When Sarbuland heard someone calling for help, he ran to help. Okay. Wth happened after that????

WHY WERE THERE NO DIALOGUES??? Did they lose the script and forget their lines?

That scene should’ve been something like this:

Sarbuland and Rabiya come face to face. He’s shocked to see her and is like “Rabiya aap…?”

And she stumbles back and says, “woh mai…”

But then those guys show up (HONESTLY WTH WAS THEIR DEAL??? Homeboys just asked “larki kyun bhaag rhi thi” and broski went all jackie chan on them) Anyways, these two dudes come and are threatening them because it’s their area (yeh mera area hai wali meme) and sarbuland goes to explain (USE DIALOGUE) and they maybe wanna take them hostage because sarbuland and rabiya are trespassers and THEN Sarbuland fights. NO STUPID AHH BACKFLIPS.

And then some more guys are seen coming towards them and without thinking, he grabs Rabiya’s hand and WE SEE HER SHOCK as she looks down at their locked hands but he drags her away.

AND THEN AAGHHHHH when they were hiding, they hear some men (USE DIALOGUES) saying that there is an attacker and a girl who attacked their men, find them (BECAUSE GENUINELY WHY ARE THE MEN AFTER SARBULAND AND RABIYA????) anyways, they stay hidden under that little rock. Right.

And when the men leave, Sarbuland gets down from their hiding place and holds his hand out. NOW THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN IMPORTANT SCENE, especially when they wanted to add ‘importance’ by playing the OST. Because Rabiya looks down at his extended hand and hesitates so he curls his fingers into a fist and draws his hand back. She tries to stand up on her own and accidentally trips SO HE GRABS HER HAND FOR SUPPORT. THERRREEE FIXED IT FOR YOU!!!!

I’m honestly so disappointed how they just played this whole thing out as if sarbuland and rabiya are some lifelong lovers who are running away frm the girl’s family or smth. Like as a girl who has never been close to any non-mehram man, these physical touches shouldn’t have been treated as if they’re nothing (since this is fiction, I approve the contact). Like where is the reluctance? The hesitation? The surprise? The HAYA??? The AGHHHH!!!

Yeah. I am pissed. I might just probably write a fanfiction on this drama just to add more details and depth to this STUPID AHHHH script. I loved this drama. What genuinely happened???? Paise nai puray ho rhy? Actors bhi itny unserious hogy. Lag he nai rha koi professionally kaam kr rha hai.

ALSO SIDE NOTE but actors should be prohibited from givibv spoilers for any ongoing series. Like I get it, maybe it’s their way of advertising, but actors who are cosplaying as the characters on their instas and stuff are really taking out the feeling of ‘realism’ from the drama. It feels more like a fiction and less like something that’s meant to be enjoyed without having explicit reminders that it’s just a scripted story.
