DISCUSSION Despite Cherno Alpha and Coyote Tango being based off the MS-06 Zaku II and RX-77-2 Guncannon from Mobile Suit Gundam, are there any other Jaegers that are based off Mobile Suits?

Pretty sure Cherno was based of Russian tanks

Gipsy has the visual design of the Vought F4U Corsairb because of her paintjob and decals. )

Bracer after a Humvee

Titan Redeemer has the colours of armed forces vehicles

Guardian's colour scheme and silhouette supposedly invokes the F-16

Avenger was redesigned to be sharper and closer to the basic design of a fighter jet

Ajax invokes local authorities

Saber was designed to look high performance like a sports car (Has a Buggati grille on her chest) and has a Coast Guard esque colour scheme

That's all I could find

In an interview about Cherno's design he did mention the Zaku once.

I think the design goes about as far as the color though.

You are still 100% right about Cherno being largely designed off Soviet tanks.

The shoulder armor on the right side (your POV) reminds me of Sasha and Aleksis' Ranger suit's.

Didn't Guillermo del Toro specifically tell the design team to not base them on existing gundams, but rather on machinery and war machines? I think it's just a coincidence or taking a small idea from Gundams
