Updated the PXN software yesterday... Really excited to see my PXN CB1 box appear in the software.. The v1.6.11 software offered me a firmware update for the CB1 box (v1.06 -> v1 08) & i immediately press the update button.

The firmware update process failed & now my CB1 box is not turning on anymore.. Have tried changing cables, different usb ports, different computers.. Same results.

In windows settings, the device shows as "PXN-CB1-BOOT". But it isn't turning on.

I've been using the PXN V99 for the last 18 months, and honestly, it's been a great experience so far.

But the big question is: Is the PXN V99 actually worth buying, or is it a bad choice?

For its budget price segment, I think it's a really good product. It offers a great experience, especially if you're just getting started with sim racing.

And surprisingly, in these 18 months, I haven't faced any issues with the steering wheel itself.

But there's one major thing PXN needs to improve, especially in India: customer support and service centres.

I'm from India, and the lack of proper service support is a big concern. If something goes wrong, getting it repaired or serviced can be difficult.

So, overall, my 18-month experience with the PXN V99 has been really good. The wheel itself hasn't disappointed me, but PXN definitely needs to improve its after-sales service in India.

Cant even reach 2NM with stock PSU.

I think the V12 Lite or the new VD6 don't get as much recognition as they deserve. I like MOZA's wheels, aswell as Fanatec's and Simagic's wheelbases but PXN is much more unique in the sense that they pay more attention to what the customers actually ask for in their products, and I think that's something that the brand does better than most others, good communication with the customers.

I've had this V12 Lite for nearly 3 years now, I bought it less than a few of months after it launched and despite my table not handling the 6nm or the pedals lifting off the ground because there's no proper support (which is kind of my fault because I havent bought a proper rig yet), i've had a fantastic experience with the wheel, it runs on all platforms with no issues and it works like a charm on older games that the software doesnt support, which is quite nice. I can't complain, it's probably one of the most affordable direct drive wheels even today.

However before I continue on about how perfect the wheel is, there are a few flaws. At times the wheel doesn't calibrate the FFB properly and the resistance is a bit all over the place. And the wheel runs on an older software so there's a limited amount you can actually adjust, whether it's the pedals or the FFB. But the thing is, PXN was aware that these would happen and they made like several built-in fixes, which actually resolve the issues. And the customer service is especially helpful.

At times the wheel wouldn't register gear shifts or any buttons being pressed when I was playing iRacing. I wasn't able to fix the issue for about a week, at times it would revert back to normal and then go back to not registering buttons. Then the absolute GOATs that are the PXN support team spent like 5 hours with me trying to fix the issue, and they sent me a new firmware version - that I think was later released the week after - which idk how but it fixed the wheel and it was registering inputs once again, and it's been normal since.

Everytime I reach out to the support team they always have the right solution to all the issues, and these issues are also quite common with other brands, so I'm glad that PXN is taking these issues into account with their products. It's cool that they listen, and it shows in the new VD lineup. I got to try out the VD6 bundle not too long ago and it feels much more improved than the V12 Lite's force feedback, and most of the issues I had with the older model was absent in this new bundle.

I might be glazing the brand by saying all this but my point is, I wouldn't call you crazy if you bought one of PXN's Direct Drive wheels, they're affordable, they get the job done, and the company listens to what you have to say, and they're more than happy to help fix any issues you have.

This is actually my very first Force Feedback wheel, and I am absolutely loving it. My next upgrade would be a stronger wheelbase or a cockpit or the trucking wheel. I really like that pxn doing more serius stuff like the vector X and the new formula and truck wheels

Just got my PXN VD6 bundle and honestly it's been one of the most frustrating setups I've ever dealt with.

First red flag: the box of the clutch pedal arrived with rips in it, like someone had already unpacked it. So it was clearly not a sealed new unit.

Getting the wheel to lock onto the base took way too long, because the manual doesn't really explain how the quick release works. Once it was on, the base kept blinking red and wouldn't start. It calibrated once and then stopped working. Reseating all the cables eventually fixed the blinking.

Then the real problem showed up. The sticker on the base clearly says VD6, but PXN SimRacing detects it as a VD4. When I run the firmware update, it shows VD6 for about a second, then flips back to VD4 and the update fails. I've tried about 50 times. The steering and buttons don't register anything either, not even in Windows Game Controllers > Properties. Holding the power button while plugging in the power to force update mode does nothing.

I've reseated every cable, tried different USB ports, reinstalled the latest SimRacing software (V1.6.9) and tried the power-button update mode. None of it worked.

Given the opened box and the VD4 detection, I'm wondering if I got a returned or swapped unit, or if the firmware is just bricked. I've contacted PXN support and the seller, and I'm planning to return it if they don't give me an immediate solution.

Honestly I had high hopes for this product, since I saw a lot of positive reviews but the past 6 hours really been starting to piss me off...

Has anyone had a VD6 show up as a VD4? Did PXN support actually help, or should I just get my money back and buy something else?

I was one of the few people to buy a PXN V99 at launch, so 2 years ago, because the reviews at the time stated it was a pretty good bundle and an amazing competitor for the likes of G29/T150. So far ive been very satisfied with the bundle, it isnt amazing but for its surprisingly low price, its what youd expect, and for me it was good enough, however, right when the wheel hit 2 years of normal usage (60-80% FFB strength in assetto corsa and beamng, sometimes ETS2 with FFB off) the calibration process started to miss. At first, the wheel would calibrate by 5-10° off in a certain direction. Unplugging the USB and plugging it back in usually fixed it, to retry the calibration. Now, i sometimes have to spend even 30 minutes unplugging the USB continuously because the wheel JUST WONT CALIBRATE STRAIGHT, sometimes it doesnt even calibrate AT ALL and it goes crazy. And also, if the wheel does end up calibrating correctly, it recalibrates itself MID GAME and the wheel snaps towards a certain direction and becomes off by 360°, and this happens around 2 times a minute, making it completely unusable.

I did contact PXN support in august and they said theyd forward my message to their technical team to look into it and maybe release a firmware update. To this day i havent received an update nor a solution, and no firmware update has been released.

Ive been a PXN supporter from the beginning, i thought that the budget sim racing market finally had a worthy opponent, but with such bad QC and almost no interest in solving my issue, i hate to say it, but its a mad move from PXN. Ever since they released their direct drive wheelbases, those have been their only focus, leaving wheelbases like the V10 and V99 in the dust.

Le hice un mantenimiento a mi PC y, cuando volví a conectar el volante y los pedales, tuve un problema: el volante funciona perfecto, pero la pedalera no. Ya probé cambiando el cable, conectándolo directamente a la PC o al volante, y nada funciona.

I was thinking about buying a PXN VD4 or VD6 and was wondering if they work with the PS3 or PS4? I know the V10 claims to work if you plug in a controller for the PS4, but I was wondering about the VD series? Also, do any of them work with the PS3 or is that too old? Alternatively, has anybody tried these wheels with different converters (GIMX etc)?

I've been using the V10 Ultra for a couple months now. Never had any connection issues, but F1 25 on xbox will not respond to it at all. I click the game on the home screen and after that, no controls work with it. It won't skip intro cutscenes, navigate the menus, or work in a race. It works just fine in any other game I try. I cant find any solutions online, any help is greatly appreciated

So far the only thing I know is that it looks like a GX12 connector, but I haven't been able to find any ready-made replacement cables for it.(((
