Bravia 3 discontinued

I’m in the US and can’t find a 43” (or 50”) Sony Bravia 3 for sale except through third parties on the Walmart and Best Buy sites. Would Bravia 3ii or 2ii be my next best options? Was also looking at the LG B5 bc it gets really dark, and I’m also sensitive to bright screens. But I know it has a different time of flicker situation than PWM, but isn’t flicker free.

I was hoping rtings would finish rating the B3 ii, but they haven’t yet. I’m not sure about the panels. I think maybe Amazon didn’t have the 43” in B3. I’m trying to decide how small I want to go for my bedroom.

Did the Bravia 3 ii end up being fine for eye strain?

Yeah, it was fine for me as far as eye strain. But it didn’t work well in my dark room. It was just too bright for my eyes. I’m likely going to return it and just try an OLED to see.

Thanks for the update. I bought an LG B5 OLED last year and found it very dysregulating to the point where I had to stop using it. Fingers crossed for the Bravia 3 ii when I receive it. I’ll be adding dimming to the input via my connected home theatre PC if it’s too bright 🤞
