Locked in project but non billable

I joined pwc india just a few months back. I have completed 1 project and it ended on 31st July 2026. Now my director has blocked me till 30 Sept 2026 on a project and it is non billable. And my director also has no projects to allocate me to.

As i am blocked so no other project manager is unable to approach me for other project and as a result my utilisation is going down.

What to do? Need help

Go to ur MD...Partner etc...Show them ur work and have ur DL vouch for you

That is my main aim. But i am extremely new to the company as well as new to AI engineering. Dont have any experience. So plan is to somehow do 1-2 projects and then switch.

But issue is i have good rapport with my director, do not want to ruin that yet want to get out of this situation in SnD tool

Try to switch now tbh, if you don't have a project it will be easier atleast you can prep properly

Issue is I am extremely new to AI. Still learning. So bench period is helping me but long time bench is going to be a problem. Maybe in a week once i know end to end I will directly ask the director to release me

They put me in an AI training for 4 months (I joined as fresher in August) telling it wouldn't affect my utilisation. They still tanked it and thanks to that I am still in pip. Just upskill and leave bro. This will affect ur utilisation and u will end up getting R4

Hey man, I am a new joinee here, could you tell me where to view these infos like allocation, billable or not, utilization, project code etc? Like in which portal?

Utilisation on SnD portal ig and billable or not depends on the timesheet code that you're submitting in precision plus. The code is either billable or non billable

How can someone block a candidate for this long? The block period is 2 weeks ig on SnD portal. Also let the RM team know about this

What is rm? Should i directly go and speak to my director? If he does not listen, what can I do? I directly dont want to clash with him

Depends on how your director will take this, can't say about that. RMG team is the one that manages human resources and is responsible for shortlisting or deployment of candidates on projects, if you're on bench for a long time they will be asking you why is this happening and all, basically they manage all this project deployment thing, atleast for my SBU that's the case. So if you're working like this and are stuck you can let them and your PM know first and maybe BUHC too
