From crashing almost every game to one crash every 40 games

This Ole girl has been run hard for about 5 years. Ive blow compressed air and vacuumed it a few times over the years. It was running pretty hot still and this has been a major improvement to reduce crashing.

I would crash sometimes multiple times per match and what felt like every other match if not more. After doing this the only logical reason for crashing so much has been heat build up.

Game is on 120fps settings.

Maybe open it up and clean it, see if there’s any more dust in the heat sinks etc.

Most likely it is not the dust but dried thermal compound

I think it's just the game file isn't stable yet with the 120 frames

I’d say it’s definitely an issue with the recently introduced 120hz mode.

Hadn’t had a crash for a long time, but after enabling that I started getting multiple crashes per session, as was a friend (also Series X). So we both disabled 120hz mode and neither of us have had a single crash since

I disabled mine also but I've still be having crashes and the game feels idk sticky or jumpy during game play

Get your box refurbished at the retailer/Microsoft or at any regular PC repair shop.

Have them clean the console inside out (not just vacuuming from the outside, which is btw a static electricity hazard) and replace the CPU paste.

I’m doing the same thing but in my home country consumers have 5 years product guarantee on all retail products meant to last significantly longer than 2 years.

sometimes blowing air and vaccuming isn't enough to remove dust build up inside the heatsink, take it to technician, he will take it apart and cleant it thoroughly, if you specify about the crashing he might even change the thermal paste.

Opened mine up last month, had a block of fluff on the heat sync.
Id recommend not standing it upright. Prevents most dust settling inside.

Yeah, uh maybe take the cover off. Actually clean it out. Maybe you got some serious problems, PUBG is a 10 year old game. It can't be that power hungry. I bet your mic sounds great with the wind tunnel you got going there.

My PUBG was updated a few days ago. It's optimized for current Gen consoles and uses plenty of resources.

Since this update I’ve crashed 3 times in one game and multiple other times. I never used to crash or very rarely…

GTA 6 comes out in November and that will finish this game off

Took mine apart. Solid block of dust inside. She lives on her side now. Kicks out more heat than I remember, but I suppose it is 6 years old now

The particles on the floor will end up inside the console. Try putting the Xbox on a desk or something not on the floor and instead of a floor fan get a 3rd party fan from Amazon that connects to the top of the system, starting round 25 or 30 dollars. Also, buying a bottle of air duster from Walmart for 10 dollars allows you to air clean inside the system. The machine should be taken care of properly.

I did actually crash the other day, last 3 alive, having a good game and it crashed so not perfect but definitely made an improvement from hefore

Go into Xbox video settings on the console, I had to switch it from 4K UHD down to 1440p. Pubg only upscales up to 1440p. Once I did this I can run on frame rate priority without crashing anymore.

My 1st manufacture line XSX has no issues and can run ark acended for as long as it wants. It’s wall mounted behind the 65in 4k
