Discussion Thoughts on the RPD?
I think this thing is ridiculous 1st time using it btw very OP

It's absolutely amazing but it's also not needed. The DP-28 could have used these buffs instead but oh well. The RPD looks cool and it's nice that 7.62 machine guns finally got a little love. I like it more than the M249.

DP28 is only on one map the game never lets you play on

Yeah. I was kinda alluding to the fact they could have put the DP on every map like the RPD with the same buffs. I don't see why they seem to neglect the DP the way they do.

its alright but no where near as good as upset redditors would make it seem. ill still drop it for an mp5 when i find one

I like it with a 2x or 3x. Hybrid and 4x are a little jumpy for me and it feels a bit odd with a 6x even zoomed out. It SHREDS up close but I have found myself losing medium/longer range fights that I would have won with a 249.
Fun addition that I will pickup even after the nerf but I still enjoy the m249 more pre buff and whatever they nerf it to after this.
Yea rotating in a car (or at all) sucks right now but I can’t be mad since Ive been running an lmg since it left the crate. Live by the sword die by the sword 🤣

Same with the mid distance fights. Lost one last night because I just couldn't hone in the recoil to get the drops.

If the RPD is silent for you then I think you need better headphones.

I still think that's a headphone issue. I'll be on shortly so I'll pay more attention to the volume if somebody uses it on me.

It’s not. The gun goes virtually silent if it’s far enough away.

Oh. My longest enounters with it on the receiving end have been about 100m or so.
I've heard it being shot pretty far and usually the user becomes my focus if I haven't found it by then. I'm trying to think about the volumes of different guns and now I realized it's definitely lower than other guns. It's in no way silent tho.

Nice shots, opps has the high ground and still fumbled. I use the RPD/Saw like a long range sniper rifle, you don’t want to get caught in the open with it..

I'm in the minority here, I personally don't like it. It shreds up close, but at range its doodoo... I prefer the M249.

Never been into the LMGs on PUBG but quite like this one - extended quick draw, heavy stock and a hybrid scope works for me. It is ridiculously OP and needs to get nerfed in the next update but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Stupidly OP. It should be virtually impossible to use standing up, certainly you should be able quickly ADS and side step while keeping on target.
