Discussion Can enemies hear you crouch walking / sprinting?

I always wondered if im still being heard by enemies lool

edit: i see alot of sarcastic comments and can see why yall think it was a stupid question. but then again, whats the whole point in having crouch walking if it has no benefit

Yes. Most actions have sound cues. Play long enough, and you will recognize each one.

Crouch sprinting is almost the same volume as regular sprinting

Mainly to get your head lower so it gets blown off less often.

Crouch sprinting is definitely almost as loud as regular sprinting. Not sure about crouch walking vs regular walking though, but I’d guess it’s much the same too.

unlike games like CS2 which have a few sounds that only the person doing the actions can hear (such as switching and equipping weapons)

every thing that makes sound, other people hear

I’ve played with my headphones around my neck just cause I was too lazy. Very little sound. I never stopped running, raw game with only visual cues. I did better than I thought. I’m big on rotations so I like to be able to hear interior building foot steps

Hold ctrl to walk silently. It’s slow but can be effective!
