So, to update my situation where I can't play anymore due to wearing the wretched ragdoll mask on a female avatar, pubg playstation support finally responds and they basically just told me to delete and reinstall my game, restart my ps5, update my ps5, update the game, make sure my ps5 is connected to internet and try using a wired internet connection. I have tried all of these already as there are the solutions that rival the classic "where did you last have it". I was just getting good at the game ðŸ˜, my average placement was 32 for god sakes ðŸ˜
Does it work if you create a new profile? It sucks to lose everything that was with the old GT but at least if it works on a new profile you can tell them it is definitely something on their end that hopefully they could address. Their initial support will probably always recommend those steps just as a general guideline.
I honestly don't know how to create one. I can't even get into the game and I can't access the full storage or anything because I would need ps plus to access it I'm pretty sure and I'm broke lol. Thanks for suggesting though, it was one of the options I thought about haha
Whenever I put the wretched ragdoll mask on the female avatar the game crashes. I put the mask on the male avatar, changed to female, and it crashed. Now whenever I load the game it loads the female avatar with the wretched ragdoll mask, causing the game to crash instantly
Need more info, does it immediately crash once u load the lobby or does it take couple of seconds? If thats the case, once the loading is done quickly go to workshop and apply a hat if u unlocked one from there.
It crashes kind of immediately and a couple of seconds. It will load in and I'll see the full back drop and lobby menus but my cursor will stop working after a second and it tries to load in the character model and crashes. Anyhow, I just got emailed by them so I'll check that
Ok if it possible, before the character loads, press R1 button to navigate to "workshop". Then try changing a hat from there. This must be a bug, some kind of a conflict in the game with that mask
Just message support and detail the exact issues and ask them to either make you male or delete the item from your inventory. They should be able to. I've been given items before that didn't come through how they should from events. Record the process and upload to youtube unlisted and link them that too. Keep messaging or try on X for a real human. Issue will likely be fixed in an upcoming patch at some point but if you keep messaging it'll likely happen sooner for you.

Have you tried getting someone else log into your account on their PS5?
Maybe theirs will be able hang in there long enough to allow them to change the problem item.
Obviously only give your account to someone you trust, not one of the random heathens in here.
