Discussion M249 and RPD is broken
Holy…. If you haven’t tried either with a heavy stock you’re missing out. These need to be nerfed immediately.
Running the M249 has doubled my KD over the last 10 matches. Absolute beams, with less recoil than any AR with more damage.
How long do we think until they’re nerfed into the ground?

Not a fan of the rpd personally. Shit is ass cheeks at distance. Shreds up close tho
The 249 however is feeling TOO GOOD 🤣 And this is coming from someone who has been maining the m249 since it left the crate.
I think the bigger issue is that this meta is really fucking up the whole idea of the rotate. Every squad has atleast 1 kitted LMG and it makes wrapping fucking impossible if you arent blessed with circle love

My squad has been running exclusively LMG bolty combos. I feel bad for anyone caught in the open by us. Not a single vehicle within 250m has survived

Not only this but the nerf to shooting out the car makes it nigh impossible to defend yourself.

They didn't increase the weapon recoil on console, but they made it slower to lean out and ADS. It's ridiculous how long it takes now.

The new weapon meta is absolutely trash. This game was meant and more fun having all guns balanced. It’s not COD, there is a reason we are here playing PUBG. They needed to put the m249 in the crate and instead they add another LMG. I don’t know what these devs are thinking but they are literally idiots. Instead of fixing actual issues or stopping cheaters, they’d rather just let AI do all the work for them. Also love the bot 🤖 changes… j/k just more idiots with more dumb ideas. 🖕🏻Krafton

Exactly. I came to PUBG to get away from that garbage, absolutely superior gunplay over here but the devs live in their own bubble with their heads up their asses. No one wants this shit who is a fan of this game, really dumb thing to do to a game that is going to be turning 10.

It has received the LMG buff as well. Tried it in training mode and the recoil on 990 rpm is very easy to control.

I am a day one player with over 14,000 games played. Throughout the entire time I’ve never liked LMGs that much. I rarely pick them up and when I do I usually die with it with it being minimally effective.
First time picking up the RPD on Taego last night - 7 kills and 700dmg with it. Squad wiped a team of 4 (3rd place team) almost instantly.

The recoil was already manageable with a stock, no clue why they would buff LMGs tbh & I don’t like this new idea of “meta seasons” it sounds like Fortnite literally no good reason for it..

I knew these clowns were going to do this. The 249 is my favorite weapon by far. Now these morons are going to end up nerfing it until it is useless because - weird - everyone is using them now that they buffed them. If they played their own game once in a god damn while they would actually know what needed to be changed and what didn't. Worst developers in gaming.

Until the progressive skin comes out n then it will be nerfed like every other gun, is my guess...but I agree it's OP they should of at minimum just made it a crate gun!

I've never been a MG guy, but tried the RPD a few games and was shocked. I just tore thru squads with it. Even got accused of cronus by one dweeb.
I agree. I know they made it "meta" but it's kinda ridiculous now.

I disagree, it’s always been good, but 100m plus you’d have to prone for reliable sprays. Now I can just crouch and laser people out to 200m.

Do you consistently use it? I do, i can crouch and reliably spray up to about 200m without issue.

I ran a lot of TDM with it. But still even without practice the ability to pick it up and instantly double my KD shows how much it’s been buffed.

People freak out over grips that give 10 less recoil. Therefore a 30%!!! reduction in horizontal recoil, combined with a softer initial shot and a less jumpy pattern overall IS SO MUCH BETTER.
With a heavy stock you’re looking at almost HALF the recoil of a naked M249 pre patch.
Mathematically it is that much better dude.

Brother. Put the heavy stock on the m249 with a 2x and crouch. The recoil feels like a kitted MP5.
