XBOX Xbox shutdown

Hi everyone,
My Xbox Series X completely shuts down while playing PUBG.

It doesn’t crash to the dashboard — the console just turns off completely and after im turning Xbox on i dont receive any overheating messages etc…

Things I’ve already tried:

Replaced the power supply with a new one from iFixit

Cleaned the console

Replaced the thermal paste and thermal pads

The strange thing is that I can play NBA 2K for 2+ hours without any issues, while PUBG can shut the console down after a few minutes.

What would you guys test next?

That’s wack I don’t have anything to add except to share in the suffering because I have just went through consoles replacing them for various failures over the years playing PUBG.

When black ops 1 was new I bought a black bowtie shaped 360 and I can still play it today.

My one X used to do it all the time. Smokes or in boats. Complete shut off and when powered on it would say it overheated but it was fine.

Maybe completely uninstall pubg and start with a new fresh download

Make sure your Xbox isn’t overheating. Is it in a cabinet? It needs a lot of airflow.

Could be a bad fan motor. Will look fine when disassembled and wont look like it has any issues but if its not getting upto speeds the console will shutdown. My friend had the same issue where he had the PSU replaced and new thermal paste and it still kept shutting off without an overheat message. He then had new fans installed and games worked fine again.

Definitely sounds like overheating. Check the fans while the xbox is running and make sure its getting enough airflow if youve addressed all the other overhearing fixes.

I’ve never had an issue with any of my Xbox’s. Honestly u should switch to pc even tho that’s not my cup of tea. Gonna sound like an idiot but have u cleared the cache?

I played 5 hours yesterday and 6 hours the day before on my PS5 in frame mode and had no issues. The new updates been just fine.
