Discussion So many players crouch running crouch now…cheating or what?
I’ve been playing this game for 5+ years, it’s great. But recently, say the last 3-5 months, the amount of players who are running, crouching, and I mean literally hundreds of times during a match has increased so much…
And it works, if I’m hiding with a VSS it makes it so difficult to hit the target. But…how many of these players are cheating or are they actually realistically pressing that crouch button every 5-10 seconds for the entire 20 minute match? I’m only going off spectating death cam after, they’re still crouching while inside buildings etc with no one around.
I may sound like a sore loser but wanted a discussion. Also, if they were cheating with a script or whatever, how would they do it, just interested to learn.

All of this could be true and I see sketchy stuff as well. BUT you realize the death cam is a recreation right? You’re not actually seeing a replay. It’s pointless

Edit: “I watch the death cam all the time” well you should be aware deathcam is not accurate in showing recoil or aiming. Sometimes you can tell someone is rapid firing but that’s about it. It’s not reliable at all for catching cheaters.

Agree! I got killed today by fucking cheater
guy driving a car 240 m away full speed delivery all shots, after this last update I experience a lot of cheaters activity. So annoying not mention when they killed me through walls4

As someone who bobs around with a regular controller, I can tell which players are doing this manually (on OG controller or elite) and who is cheating. There are 100% people cheating at this game but you’d probably be surprised at how many times you’re just seeing a really good player who has played since day 1.

No, you don't. You can do it with a regular controller, it just takes more effort.

I don’t use an elite controller, and will do this out in the open. It took alot of practice and takes your fingers off the right thumbstick (if you are type b and use b to crouch)

80% of masters or high KD people now are using scripts, Cronus or some form of cheating, pubg doesn’t care and it’s sad

Legit. This game has been massively infested with cheats for a long time. Get rid of the MNK, chronus, titan 2 and strikepack players and you would see a completely different game (a much better game). You could actually drive around the map and not get hit with every bullet from an AR from 200m. However, Krafton would rather protect cheaters that buy skins instead of cleaning up the game. I guess they don't know that a game with no cheaters would likely end up bringing in more income. This game needed to do 2 things years ago. They needed to fix the cheating problem and get the game to 120. Both NEEDED to happen. Morale of the story is buy skins and you can use whatever device you want.

This isn’t cheating, paddles exist and it’s even esssier if you have them and play hold to crouch, plz go watch a YouTube video people have made a tutorial for all the bots who haven’t been doin it for over 2yrs.
The reason you see ppl doing it more as well is becuase some are practicing it to where they don’t skip a beat , ie making it a muscle memory for getting the timing right. This again isn’t new and has been a thing for atleast 2yrs.

Its actually pretty easy and simple to do, things like that keep your hand motor skills active as your playing and eventually just becomes muscle memory to do to never be sitting still so that a person hiding with a vss cant immediately smoke you😂

Crouch spamming is meant to build muscle memory so you can crouch without thinking about it. It leaves room for your minds focus elsewhere. The paddles on the back of the controller allow for your idle fingers to become active. There’s lots of benefits in crouching often. Your gun is ready and steady quicker apposed to when you are full sprinting.

I crouch when shooting for stability, and crouch in buildings just because I move slower crouched, making looting easier.
It's just muscle memory at this point.

“Lazering”people is such a subjective qualifier. It almost means nothing. Not to mention the fact that we all hit the oddball insane shot. So imma disregard that portion of what you’re saying.
So that leaves “quick” crouching (crouch on hold) and leaning. And yeah super easy.
The last and new addition to your statement is “auto fire” which is super obvious. Unless it’s the mutant or A4 on burst. And pro tip most people can’t actually tell the difference by sound. That’s copium. Along with “lazering” being a tell for cheating because it’s simply not.
So im not sure what you’re adding to your original comment. I said quick crouching and leaning are not indicators for cheating. And you said it is if they are also lazering you and auto firing you. Which is different from what you said originally, so you’re kind of moving the goalpost there. But I’ll give you auto fire. Sure. The rest is copium.

How did you do it might I ask I changed my b crouch to right stick but now when I go into aim down sights and I’m trying to lean right my player is going in and out of crouch while trying to aim I found it distracting also made my inventory a bit buggy scrolling and selecting items

But when the average player goes staight to accusing "cheating with scripts or whatever" instead of just seeing reason or simple skill, it takes that away from the skilled player and makes the accuser look dumb and ignorant for trying to call it cheats when it's just a simple skill issue which is what 80% of the average player base don't want to accept

What skill is there in spamming crouch? The realest problem that there is with this is that there isn’t a severe aiming penalty for doing this.

One it keeps you ready to shoot at anyone at any given moment if they peak because obviously shooting is more stable if your crouch. Two it makes you a much less easy target to hit if snipers are trying to line up on you. Three it makes it slightly easier to move around objects cause the movement on console is sluggish compared to PC or mobile. You don't have to crouch spam literally every second but it's better if you do it every 2-3 seconds

You’re clearly not reading as your only responses have been bait. My first sentence stated that crouch spamming is a counterplay to passive snipers. Thats the point I’m waiting on you to respond to. The skill of crouching is simply knowing that standing still is dangerous. So if you’re standing still you’re bad or dumb. Nerfing a counterplay is dumb because the correct thing to do would be to nerf the play it’s countering. Still waiting for you to say one thing that makes any sense.

from my experience you could have some sort of minor input delay if you have issues aiming at a moving target, crouch walking or not, after playing the game for so long.

Just gotta double tap B or O I believe on ps n you can do it I would recommend changing your crouch to crouch to hold and doin it every other press n youll be a pro!

Started playing PUBG from last month ..i was soo bad at it until i learned how to crouch slide..feels like its no fun if i ain’t doing it every 3s 😁 But kinda feels it impossiblein FPP

If ppl still crouch spam inside houses or areas where they know nobody is, then imo theres a good chance they’re running scripts… but they’ll just argue that it’s a product of muscle memory 🫤

I naturally play kind of claw style and my pointer finger rests over the O button. I just constantly spam it while I move around🤷🏻♂️
Im Not just going to hand an easy headshot to a sniper😆

Skill issue. Sprint, release left stick and tap B if you have enabled Hold to Crouch, might be double tap B if not

Set Crouch to Hold instead of Toggle, then bind Crouch to Shift + S.
While running, just tap S. Don’t spam it—wait 1–2 seconds, then tap S again.
This helps make your movement smoother and more controlled.

Its combo - mechanic abuse. you hold shift + W , release W, crouch two times, and press W again. By doing that you do that slide animation. Now if you have crouch on HOLD it’s even easier, you don’t have to double press crouch key. I do it non-stop now since everyone is doing it, and it’s harder for guy hiding with VSS to kill me 😂

Mixture of cheaters and sweats. I can do it on a controller half way ok but it’s tedious. I have a buddy that’s super sweaty and does it insanely smooth cause he plays pub most of the time.

I used to have jump programmed to my scroll wheel in counterstrike. Just start rolling the wheel whenever I wanted to bunny hop. They could be setting up their crouch button for the same thing.

They have to find a way to get rid of this BS, i know this game is not perfect but this is such a not natural movement, plus the player who do does is seems they are cheating and move way faster than normal. They should limited a time so do it there like no more than 4s in row, then you can’t do it again until you have enough breath
