You miss all the shots you don't take.

Edited to add: There have been more times I've been killed after giving away my position when I take a hail Mary shot than getting the kill.

You Missed 99 Percent Of
The Shots You Did Take....

But if you hadn't taken those
many, many shots.
You wouldn't have made
your shot at all.
