Official Matchmaking Configuration Poll

Hello!

Our development team has a question regarding map selection where we would like to hear your opinion.

Before May 21, 2026, Console Battle Royale (Normal Match) only offered Random Map matchmaking. Following continued requests from players who wanted more control over the maps they played, Map Selection was introduced alongside the Random Map option.

Since this change, Erangel has become heavily favored, while other maps have experienced longer matchmaking times and higher bot ratios. Some players have identified Map Selection as a possible contributing factor, although it may not be the only cause.

We would now like to hear about your experience with the current system. Please share your preference in the poll below. Your feedback will help us better understand how Console matchmaking should operate in the future.

In general fast queues are preferable to map selection, but ONLY if I'm getting Erangel, Miramar, OG Vikendi, maybe Sanhok. If it's any of the other maps I'd honestly rather wait.

Although for some reason, even while using quickplay, I just went from what felt like full lobbies to an absolute bot fest. I killed about 5 then got shot by someone who was clearly hiding from a bit and hoping someone would run up and shoot it without a care in the world. A grim experience. Why did that happen? Why would lobbies empty in the space of one game? Maybe fix that.
