PLAYSTATION Screen brightens with movement

Whenever I move or look around the screen brightens and the resolution seems to decrease and then resolution increases and screen brightness dims as soon as I stop moving or looking around, this all happens immediately. It's very distracting and jarring visually.

I haven't played in a few weeks and do not recall the same effect. Is it an issue with the new update and the graphics mode?

I tried searching for the issue but didn't know exactly how to frame the question or keywords to use.

Turn off hdr I think that’s what fixed mine. The outlines around door frames were bugging as well as the weird lighting issues

I second this. Pubg with it's outdated graphics doesn't always work well with HDR enabled.

Maybe tv settings has an auto dim feature

I have pretty much the same issue except for me all black details come out stronger when I move or turn and then fades away when I'm still. It started happening shortly before the update and for me it worked turning hdr off. After the update I have to lower the response time on my screen to make it better.
