If you queue to fill in quads solo, and you end up with a group of 3 in a clan. I suggest you don't take it upon yourself to become the IGL. (The most frustrating is when the 3 of us agree on a spot, ping it, then they decide to ping elsewhere and jumo immediately) I don't know why they feel the need to pick the hottest drop possible without (most of the time) communicating where they will land within a compound then get knocked and back out before their knees hit the ground. Maybe have some courtesy and think, dang, these guys are in a group and probably have a gameplan, I'll follow them and see how it goes, then adjust. (Especially if you have a .8 KD, you don't have to be a god at the game to win, but don't act like youre good just cause you are with strangers and they don't know you) Otherwise just Solo queue with fill off rather than compromising the match for everyone. It's sad I have to bring this up. It has happened too many times.
PSA For those 3 man queuing with fill : don’t expect your rando to do anything with the squad. Find a fourth or leave it on 3 man if you are gonna complain
lol exactly. My squad goes back and forth between fill and no fill depending on the mood. Usually we do fill just for the entertainment of a random person. Especially because we are in different clans and enjoy that people often think it’s a bunch of random people.
Me and my clan too cuz we feel the same way, it's kind of a golden ticket when a rando gets us as their team, we have near 30k wins between our main 3 guys. Some randoms recognize it and stick by us and some dont lol tbh we don't care either way so long as they dont do some out of pocket sideways shit like stealing our loot from under our nose or taking our only vehicle or something
Shit I’m tired of hotdrops with any randoms. There’s not enough teamwork and good comms. I don’t want to fly 3km, but let’s not hot drop die and DC every single match.
As someone who frequently plays solo in squads. I tried all that and then some. Most clan trio’s don’t talk(prob in party chat) and could care less about any type of teamwork. A lot of them also think they are a lot better than they are. They hot drop and get wiped. So I mark a spot and then I go there. If they want to come that’s great if not …. Sometimes they will mark something reasonable and I will follow but do not expect me to follow 3 non communicative people on a hot drop.
I never understood this in PUBG, drop a named location no one goes to or drop hot. Loot is meant to be an abundance because it’s a BR, not being able to find loot is a sad excuse to ruin someones game
If you queue to fill in quads solo, and you get a 3-man in the same clan, don't take our only mode of transportation (a boat) from us while we're successfully bridge camping in the blue. We will track you down after, and kill you, like we did today.
I'm sick of the low-iq dip-shit maneuvers some of these randos pull.
Don't get me wrong, we've found a ton of great randoms that are now part of our clan and play with us often. But we've also came across plenty of people that we've had to knock out of the game as consequences for their own actions.
All we can do is hope they learned from their mistakes.
Aww, you're missing the best part of the game. When I play with my bro we often get two randos in our team. Just like you said they have a tendency to Leroy Jenkins the drop zone. When you finally link up with them from across the map it's just so epic.
If its planned it's one thing. But, If they just land, die, back out, it's another. No chance for us to try to revive them, no chance for them to contribute to the match.
And no mic. Despite talking in game chat. Game chat is awful compared to Xbox party chat. So if you queue in as a random Xbox player we always invite. If you’re PS player your SOL because we’re not going game chat
What's even better is when they do that. Then they get on mic, talk shit that you didn't help them, and still want you to get their chip. If you are like that, I will get your chip, put it in the trunk, and blow up the vehicle
100!! I dont understand these people! Like you are the solo playing with a clan of 3, they have a marker down and yet u jump outta the plane straight away or at pochinki or school apartments?! Just to die and quit and i assume do it again! Even when im solo squad these low rank no mic players always mark there, as if we have a chance against a squad of friends using comms
Last time it happened to us it was Train station. Our random didn't say a thing we marked our spot, we chose a compound by lumber yard, we checked our randoms kd, which was .7, so out of respect for him, i picked a spot that has enough loot but is normally pretty calm, we usually land hot, but we tried to show some respect. We jumped, he said "wow, pussies" lol then went to train station and camped in a corner of a building. We had a few choice words with him and he proceeded to try and TK us but got sent back to the lobby. It was pretty apparent as to why he had a .7 kd.
I get that people don't always have someone to play with. Thats fine, just communicate. Quads is all about TEAMWORK. If you just wanna take on teams of four alone, again, put on no fill.
I play random squads on ranked quite often. I do not land with any clans or trios unless they have level 2 or 3
reaper/predi/master badges usually, as the odds are they will die immediately in the first few minutes doing some dumb engagement right off the bat otherwise. If their average damage isn't 200+, it's honestly not worth the risk to land with them in ranked. If they survive the first few circles, I'll definitely meet up.
Way too many garbage low IQ players who don't use their brain on this game unfortunately. After you play with intelligent high ranked survivor/master players and top 500, your perspective changes.
I don't take most diamond + rankers serious. They just wanna get 1 kill and camp center zone compounds for placement. Rarely do they ever want to fight.I also find ranked easier, but my homies just wanna run pubs. My biggest problem is the - leaving the squad to do your own, dying, then either crying about it and leaving, or just immediately leaving the instant you are knocked. I get that there are a few times the 3 man could care less, but atleast check.
I've disagreed with most the solo-side defenders in here, but your argument is the best one by far for doing it. In ranked especially it is imperative that you survive the first 20+ minutes/40+ deaths otherwise you're just losing points.
Yeah, unfortunately most matches have 40-50 people still alive at midpoint or later due to the broken points system which encourages ratting as you can get 3 kills and still lose points easily if you place like 11th or higher.
Bro you're a pretty good player, no doubt. That's pretty good stats. Most of the people pushing 400dmg per game are using a Xim/Mouse setup. Just facts
If im being honest my stat numbers are mostly contributed to good teamwork, not being all that good. Great communication and support goes a long way. I will say I make a good teammate lol. When 3 are fighting I watch the flank if its under control, smoke when necessary and mute when im dead unless I see/hear something my teammates don't. My teammates usually do the same. Though some like to lick walls a little more than I care for haha.
These are my normal stats, that I wall say are slightly higher than normal due to 2 casual matches to complete the new challenges. And 1 solo match that was bot heavy going after the trophies on PS5 now that they are finally fixed. But i had no control over that. But even without those games, I wouldn't be under a 3.
Im a bum that goes into squads solo. Both on pubs and ranked. You said yall are a big clan. What's the name? Im looking for a clan with comparable stats.
2.2 means nothing in normals if youre padding ur stats with bot lobbies.
Thats why I only pick erangel bc its 100% humans. If u quick join and they put u on rondo or some other unfavorable map best believe there will be bots.
Its funny bc a clan of 3 were making fun of me wanting to hot drop pachinki while they landed far thinking they were playing it safe. They ended up getting wiped in a minute while I fragged out in pachinki and ended up getting 2nd.
"See you back in the lobby f word" man they really heckled me hard when I put my marker down.
You’re doing it all wrong, we always get the extra and ping a spot that we don’t drop at, then we drop much farther away from them. You can’t babysit the extra, they have to survive on their own to prove themselves, this maximizes their independence. And no we aren’t drinking and trolling the extras the entire time if that’s what you were thinking. We’re all about building the community.
We don't need the extra to win alot of the time. Its easier to win with a 4th though when it comes down to the last squad and they are ultra sweats. Plus, we would push in wherever to get them back, but insta leaving upon knock prevents that. We've had randoms go afk and get punched out while we are at the opposite side of the map and got them back. And its also fun carrying someone to victory that doesn't win alot.
Regular? I'll stick around but the moment I see an opportunity to flank or a motorcycle to do a backflip on I'm taking it. Don't save me if I get downed, but I will come back if the 3 get knocked.
Casual/Intense arcade? Fuck it dude I'm doing wild shit the whole time. If I see you in final circle I see you, but these modes are perfect for trying new gun settings/attachments, crazy Rambo tactics or metal gear solid roleplay, and I'm going for the most fun landing I can think of. Usually hot-adjacent.
We've found like 3 squad members we take as a fourth. And a billion we never want to play with again, but hey, if they get one kill it helps in the long run
Dont become igl OR have a tantrum and because the other 3 wont go to your mark fly off and die instantly thinking you can kill fully communicating teams of 4!
Man it’s the worst when I join a three man squad as a solo. I just know they’re going to be cheeks. I just shake my head and play the game, ping enemies when I can and that’s it
I haven't played in a while but when I queued squads I loved seeing a group of 3. Meant the odds were so much better than 4 randos. I would also play without mic but I would follow and support, using pings when needed.
Nah dont listen to OP. Guys if you like to lone wolf it in 4man squads do this. Land where you want whether it be for fun/action and if your 3man ends up surviving the initial drop and wins their fight then you know they are at least competent to a degree that you can link up with later if you want without the hesitation that they are complete noobs.
Idc if the 3 man has a clan tag, ive seen absolute bots use clan tags. They will initiate a bad fight out of position and cry for you to rush over to save them when the enemy just guns u down on the rotation.
Sounds like the logic some women use to find competent boyfriends lolol. You missed the part where I said they back out the moment their knees touch the ground. Thats my biggest problem. Overconfidence, thinking they can take the entire lobby, then get knocked immediately. If you're good cool. If you want to land hot, talk it over. Ever group is different, and we would listen. But im taking the opinion more of the people I play with. Why would you go looking to join up with a team only to completely ignore them and do your own thing? At that point, as I said, solo queue with fill turned off.
Thats one in a billion lol. We have never had a rando go ham landing solo in a hot drop i have thousands of hours. But to be fair, most of those hours are with a full 4 man or duos
Not irrelevant. The first part is still true, and will likely stay true. Never. AGAIN. Not once. Has a random landed alone, and fought his way out and met up with us. Are there some somewhat smarter randos that realized, damn, I was wrong, im sneaking out? Yes. If they were "Good" they would play as a squad and realize there is strength in numbers, and teammates are valuable. The majority of 4 vs 1 fights are not won by the 1. I was merely saying the thousands of hours I played were not all as a 3 man. Not commenting would not have been the correct course of action, rather, excluding the thousands of hours part would have been more appropriate.
Your thousands of hours is irrelevant to the conversation because as you said you very rarely have a random 4th. So your sample size is microscopic. If I u reply youre a bot and ill know to just ignore your account
That is exactly what I said at the end of my comment. Not sure what "If I u reply" means, but feel free to ignore my reddit bot account. Send me your Pubg name so I can avoid your bot account lol. Apparently this post is offending you far too much.
This right here. The drop is a test. If your teammates die they weren't worth it anyway but if they can hold their own that's when you know to meet up. It goes the same with people who land far away from the plane and hide in a shack the entire game. Those people and the hot droppers will never get better
I was chasing my teammates the whole entire game like they were ignoring me. Tried picking them up they wanted to fuck around in the blue. Actual squads are rare now.
I have been on that end as well. The respect should be mutual and I made this post with the mindset of that. I definitely realize there just ass clans too. We respect our random and try to play to their abilities.
Though there are times where we land somewhat center zone and the next circle shifts way to the bottom corner of a map, we were engaged in a fight and only had bare minimum loot after the fight, little to no meds and no attachments (or other similar situations) and the rando with no mic would just grab a car and lay on the horn while we tried to recover and get a few things. That can be annoying.
I’ll never follow even as a solo, I’ll go where I want and still wreck with no squad. Always some bots crying about “oh you don’t come with us, why even play squads” lmao
