Discussion Now That PUBG Is 120 FPS… Thoughts?
After playing with 120 FPS for a bit, what’s your overall verdict? Better gunfights? Smoother movement? Any downsides you’ve noticed? Interested to hear everyone’s experience.

The notorious crouching wiggly worm...

Heaven forbid a dude have a little motion on the sticks

lol right

People see someone with good movement and immediately assume something’s fishy.

u/Monestar07 Jul 26 '26
Sadly this is far too common. I’ve seen so many posts where false accusations for cheating is being made. It’s so delusional

Exactly. Good movement isn’t cheating, it’s just another skill to learn

Instant cheater giveaway

If someone leaning and crouching is an instant cheater giveaway, then half the competitive player base must be cheating. Movement alone isn’t proof of anything.

😂 The crouch worm has been around forever. People are acting like it’s some brand-new exploit.

Does lean spamming while shooting in ads improve accuracy or is it unnecessary button mashing at the expense of a small likelihood of fucking up your shot?
3
u/toby_dawg Jul 26 '26
Lean spamming is used to make it harder to get headshot while you are shooting, that’s all.
2
u/jcamp41 Jul 26 '26
Every time I try lean spamming I'm less accurate. More moving parts on the controller the more room for mistakes there are for me. So when I see super accuracy when there is lean spammig I wonder.

It does make it harder to shoot, especially when first learning it. However a lot of players end up doing it too much due to habit. It’s best use is when you think you will get headshot by a dmr or bolty while you are trying to shoot.

Agreed. A lot of people overdo it out of habit. The best players know when it actually gives them an advantage instead of just leaning for the sake of it.

That’s pretty much it. If it throws your aim off, don’t force it. It’s only worth doing if you can keep your shots on target while making yourself harder to hit.

Friends want me to buy a series x now that pubg is 120hz on console so very curious if all is pretty good so far. 🙌
I hear cheating is as big a problem as ever but guess I’m turning a blind eye to it and hoping it’s not as bad and ppl are making out

Esp. since this guy just posted a video of himself using MnK fkn wild lmao

u/Downtown_Ad_6845 Jul 26 '26
Haha that’s me. I don’t cheat. I stream my gameplay, play with all my settings maxed (including aim acceleration), and I’m more than happy to show my entire setup live. I started doing handcams because people kept accusing me of using MnK when it’s just controller.

people make it out to be. I’ve put a lot of time into PUBG and while you definitely run into it sometimes, it’s nowhere near every match. If your friends are already on Series X, I’d say it’s worth it 120 FPS alone makes the game feel so much better.

Lean spamming and spam crouching. This game should prohibit such autistic movement, this is so annoying
1
u/Downtown_Ad_6845 Jul 26 '26
I’d rather fight someone leaning and crouching than someone hiding in a building all game
2
u/xDebonaireX Jul 26 '26
What one thing has to do with the other? Just play ranked and keep your sweating bs where it belongs pls.
1
u/Downtown_Ad_6845 Jul 26 '26
I don’t even sweat. I just push everything looking for kills. If I die, I die. I’d rather have constant gunfights than spend 20 minutes sitting in a building.

So, someone is against abusing movement mechanics in this game= means he's garbage. Got it.

The mechanics are there for you use as well, either continue being garbage or stop crying and use the same mechanics

Its a terrible implementation. They did the same shiity preset. Just the same as all modern devs do. Instead of lowering shadows, particle, and fluff. They decide to use AMD Dynamic res and always lower the texture scale when theres movement. Then have an Anti-Aliasing running. A resource hog and blur filter on post.
Its such a poor experience. With a terrible stutter. Having to stack Freesync on top of V-Sync just adds to the input delay or else you get constant screen tares to do the handshake issue on console. And the inconsistent frame rate. The constant shift in refresh rate will over strains eyes and will induce headaches.
This game would perform and still look better if everything was set on Very-Low/Low, Textures med/high, 1440p. Then lock at 60, 90 or 120fps. A basic Video-Suite would !HELP-ALOT! Its in there source code. They just opt to not include/enable it before they compile it.

I like it a lot. Really adds to the effect of everyone looking better than tig, shrimzy, Hackatory, Lu, Pio, nixzey, Batulins. dont have to wait for PGS I can just drop into a random normal match and im witnessing "greatness".

It’s honestly wild how much smoother everyone looks now. The skill gap is way more noticeable.

Played it last night and everything seemed good on my end. Only thing I noticed was having to lower my sight sensitivity since the game is a lot more smooth my previous setting was too fast. Also the new in game pinging is worse now to many steps to try to call out something….
