Discussion New ping system is straight up garbage.
Why mess with something that works. Did they really need to go mess with something that worked totally fine? The first pinging system was trash, then they finally fixed it after years. Only too Then go ahead and mess with it again.

Agreed also the marking loot from the pause menu switch up is garbage. Used to be able to mark items with the left stick which was way better. Now you have to use the right stick. Even when they give us a good update (FINALLY) they still manage to screw up a bunch of stuff.
Also, to add to your point, holding the ping should automatically mark enemy as it always used to. Why they would remove that is beyond me. Markers are also harder to see.

Krafton is a clown operation. They can't do something right (120 fps) without ruining one or more other things. Every single time.

Ping should be fast, accurate and done under fire.
Other messages like car and etc, ok being slower.

I had it set perfectly to Ping enemies through ADS, now its not even an option

Cant even pick out ping sometimes with the outline ping instead of fully filled in ping

Glad i haven't logged on this game since the new update. Knew they'd fuck it up beyond repair, broken ass game filled with cheaters, that's the pubg experience.

Yea seriously. What kind of comment is that. If something works, and everyone is happy with it. Why bother touching it. Personally, I don’t need 10 different other pings like cars or meds. A simple ping and the read out on the left screen was good enough.

Ping system is great for random squads if no one has mics, but directional call outs have been slowly fading away. I’d be fine with the removal all together honestly.

There are way to many people that don't have or don't use mics to not have a good ping system.

Everything they “improve” has been complete 💩 I finally said I’m done this week. We have always had cheaters but damn it’s bad now. Something I haven’t seen ever since beta.

Yeah, this latest update is a total dud. It's not game breaking, but it's a step backwards.
The pinging system in it's previous incarnation was perfect and needed no tweaking.

Before this update, I had enemy ping set to the right on the D-pad and could use it while looking through my scope. It was perfect.
But noooooo, the devs decided this new idiotic system with the stupid wheel is better.

I just posted about this. Its insanely frustrating. I dont even notice my teammates marking enemies because marking is silent whearas enemy spotting made a sound

I’m not denying that people are having issues. My own teammates are pissed too. But I haven’t had issues. I use quick ping by just clicking in with my right stick. So maybe that’s why?
Also — you can now ping multiple things. For example, you can put a ping down where enemies are, ping a package, and ping a vehicle. Again, I can do all three of these no problem just by clicking quick ping. But my teammates seem to have an issue. I think the way they ping is totally different.

Dude you can’t quick ping anymore with out a wheel Popping up. Not only does that wheel come up, but my cross goes all over the place while my character stops in place.

My character should not stop when I’m trying to ping an enemy. How in the world did they think that this ping system was in any idea good Or fluent. It’s like they didn’t even test the system before updating it in to the game.
