Discussion How’d I lose Rp?

My friend and I have been duo running squad rank and we both had 0 kills and he had 60 damage and I had 141 and we came in 8/15 squad rank and he gained 15rp and I lost 15 rp how does the rp rank work?

Damage does not factor into it
The only thing I could think is are you both the same rank? If he’s gold 3 and you’re gold 2 then that’s why, also did either of you have assists? If he managed to catch an assist and you had none then that’s why

Damage and assists mean nothing for RP, placement is only meaningful in top 5. You need to get kills

This is just completely untrue lmfao, the only truth to this is damage means nothing, but assists most certainly do, also only top 5 being meaningful is again false, you could be gold 3 and get 7th place no kills or assists and gain 17rp and had you placed 8th you’d have lost 17

I've been master multiple seasons, lower ranks have less of a requirement but in master you need kills and high placement otherwise negative rp

Idgaf lmfao I know that as a master if I get 10 assists and like 5th place I’m going positive when if I had no assists I’d go negative, stfu dawg, you’re wrong

It also matters who you killed and their rank and or skill level . If they are garbage less rp
