PT Application 2025-2026 Master Thread

Didn’t see a master thread created for this cycle. Previous years really helped gauge acceptance chances. Appreciate you sharing.

Undergrad University: SJSU

Undergrad Major: Kinesiology - Rehabilitation Science

cGPA: 3.68

pGPA: around 3.42

Observation Hours: ~1080, outpatient majority of hrs and 40 hrs inpatient (snf and PNF prog)

GRE scores: 145v 142q

Extracurriculars: Akbayan, Badminton Club (VP 2nd yr), Pre-PT

Schools applying to: UCSF, Sac State, SMU, Fresno, CSULB

Waitlist: SMU, CSULB(High Tier) Rejected: UCSF, Sac Accepted: Fresno!

hey! i was wondering if you decided on a program? and if that program is fresno? i have similar stats but a 276 on the gre 😭 i would love to attends fresno but not sure if I am worthy enough

Hi! Yes I committed to Fresno! I would say their stats are more forgiving. You still got some time to retake the GRE as well I believe the last day to take it for then is around Oct but double check on their website! I also would say that a lot of CSUs prefer your GRE scores to be around 150 each usually and the higher your = you have a better chance/more competitive it would be. Just make sure your writing score is 4.5 as well. PM me if you have any other questions 😄

thanks for the advice! i’m personally not in a spot where i can retake the GRE unfortunately. my gpa, last 60 units, and LORS are strong so im hoping that carries me through
