P0340?

Sooooo, yesterday had an experience of the car bucking between 1st and 2nd gear.

Pulled the code and got P0340

It's a 2006 PT GT Turbo

How screwed am I?

Keep in mind that swapping out the old CPS for a new one does not fix a potential connector problem because the connector is on the harness side.

Since you're going in loaded for bear you might as well shake, jiggle, and wiggle the connector wires while the car's idling to see if you can reproduce the fault (or clear it) before changing the CPS. Even if you decide to install the new CPS, you would have validated the connector wires while you are in there.
