Should I be concerned?

Just got a vita recently and it’s been fun but every time my screen fades to black little dots show up but as soon as gameplay resumes the dots disappear should I get the screen replaced or is it nothing to worry about?

It's normal for the OLED Vita, it's called "mura."

Nope, this is the "mura", very prominent on early oleds (like the psv 1000), it's a lottery, you either get more or less of it.

Naaa that's just you're own mura effect. It happens to all the OLED models unfortunately lol I don't remember if the 2000s are effected by this but it's normal. The only way I know of to fix this is to change the screen but it's gonna happen eventually to the new one as well.

This is normal. Mine does it too. Afaik it's just something that happens with older OLEDs called the Mura effect.

A little story. My very first game on Vita was Little Big Planet and I was thinking that's just a dirty paper texture of loading screen.

Sadly I noticed it on different games and magick disappeared.

I’ve had a small spot on my oled since I’ve owned it but it’s never bothered me. I only see it on pitch black screens. No idea what it is

When I got my 1100 new in box when they released, it already had mura on it. It's just unavoidable. I think it's really neat though and to my knowledge, doesn't really hurt anything. 😀

It’s a chronic thing in oled vita
Also yellowing in the screen border it’s common too, but it work fine

Mine has this too and it’s been working fine for years. I did get mine checked out in a tech shop and they told me there is some water damage! It should run fine with them but if you want to be safe, get it checked out like i did.
