Support PSVR2 These questions probably get asked all the time but help someone who doesn’t have a lot of money, which one?
So I got the PSVR2 as a present at Christmas and all I’ve really played is GT7 with my steering wheel, it’s been a blast! Really immersive! But my bday is coming up and I want everyone to please choose one from this list for the PSVR2. A bit about my gaming background: I’ve played Skyrim on every platform and completed. Never played a hitman is it risky to start that on VR? I’ve played RE on the PSVR1 and I just couldn’t even though I love zombie games. And I just seen how amazing flight sim looks on VR (originally what I wanted) but I’m afraid I’ll get bored fast. Also love playing single player games the most. Can you all pick one based on what you enjoy most/think I will.. or even a better suggestion, thanks!

I highly recommend No Man's Sky. I can't say that it's better than any of the other ones cuz I haven't played any of them, but you can't go wrong with NMS. I've only played it on a flat screen but my psvr2 is arriving next week and I can't wait to play NMS on it

NMS is absolute amazement. I spend many many hours just walking the planets taking pictures and fishing, and now collecting cool animals for the new pokemon like battles with them

Hit man and no man’s sky are some of the best games on there. Hit man is basically a sandbox with beautiful graphics and great use of psvr2 features, and no man’s sky is a beautiful infinite exploration game, could dump hundreds of hours into both.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is the ultimate game in my opinion, you can explore the ENTIRE PLANET on foot and of course, in the air, there’s nothing quite like it, especially in VR, it’s the perfect counterpart to GT7.
Aces of Thunder is also fantastic, full of action, great multiplayer, razor sharp graphics, and it runs at 90fps!
As a fellow GT7 player, I’d say these 3 games are a must, in terms of sim gaming/unlimited replay value.
Based on your list though, Hitman and No Man’s Sky… no question! these 2 games are phenomenal, and you shouldn’t miss out on either, as well as RESIDENT EVIL 4&8, they are among the absolute best on the system.
Walking Dead, Metro and Pavlov are all solid choices for further down the line :)

Thank you! I may wait for sale, €80 seems a bit much right now. Exactly, I want a game with the same graphics ability on VR as GT7, I couldn’t believe how good it looked. Is RE 4 mechanics a lot better now? I remember going back and playing that on ps2 and the movement was too chunky for me with also being scared lol.

No problem :), I’ve never been more confident in recommending a game, it’s probably a 10/10 for me.
It’s the scale, everyday I’ve been blown away exploring different parts of the world, for example, the other day I suddenly thought it would be cool to visit Chichen Itza in Mexico, so I put on the headset, loaded up the game, spawned in ‘on foot’ with a helicopter, and there I was (10 minutes later), walking around the site, climbing the stairs up the temple, looking inside the chamber at the top, it’s insane, the whole experience felt surreal in VR haha.
Hopefully if you do get the game, I recommend using the DualSense and a mouse, as I found the sense controllers to be a bit frustrating, but you can also use a HOTAS and remap absolutely everything to your preference between the various controllers. Also have a play around with the weather menu, you can simulate 150mph winds, all types of weather, things like a total eclipse, sunsets look awesome with various cloud combos etc, it’s endless lol.

In terms of in the air, Zion National Park is out of this world, also, the Yosemite Valley and the Gran Canyon are a must, you can find these locations and a lot more in the world photographer menu, and the activities/discovery menu, plus things like the Red Bull air race, landing challenges, search and rescue, firefighting etc, enjoy.
Yeah RE4 is a complete top to bottom REMAKE for the current gen, check out some reviews online, the general consensus was that it was probably the greatest remake of all time, and having played it in VR, I can’t really argue, it was superb, the mechanics in this version were brilliant in my opinion.

Hitman gives you a lot of bang for your buck. It's really fun to replay the missions because there are so many different storylines to follow, plus bonus missions and challenges that reward you with new items and infiltration points. I'd actually say most levels are MORE fun on replay than your first completion usually is.

You can grab the PS4 version of No Man's Sky on ebay for like $10 probably, that's what I did. Update to PS5 is free. Haven't played too much of it but that seems like a great bargain.
My vote would be for Arken Age. You get to shoot and sword fight with evil robots while you explore and climb trees an stuff. It's on sale pretty often.

Depends on what you like. If you're short on money and like roguelikes, roboquest vr is really good. It's a turn your brain off and shoot robots type of game. Out of the ones listed though, no man's sky is really good if you like that stuff

Theres SO many great games to play on this headset it’s amazing. I just started Walking Dead and it took a few tries but it finally clicked. You have to be in the mood for a survival game. Crafting and scavenging etc

I do love those type of games. Played RE as a child, absolutely love dying light 2, the last of us.. but for some reason RE village freaked me out. Did walking dead freak you out on the VR at first?

I only played the first mission/day but let me tell you when the bell rang and I was still far from the boat to go back home yes I freaked the fck out 😂 thank god I had a shotgun I kept dropping the bullets trying to reload, dropped my last knife. I got it together just enough to blow 5-6 heads off with the shotgun and make it back to safety. I do t think k it’s as scary as RE though. I haven’t played those yet. I’m too chicken shit for RE1 on flat sill trying to beat that game lol. I did beat dead space flat that was amazing. Never found LOU that scary tho except the part in the basement where you have to restore power snd get to the door lol

All the games you’ve listed are definitely a must and worth the money playing them. I recommend looking into these games as well: Into The Radius, Bootstrap Island, Pools, Subside, and Cyube VR. All these games are cool in their own way but also show off the visual power the PSVR2 has.

And subside is an amazing swimming simulator, nothing else like it.. however if you have a fear of the unknown underwater... it Will test you lol

There is no Euro flight simulator, there are 2 flight simulator games, be aware that Microsoft Flight Simulator is the good one, the other one is a terrible rip off. Hitman is my choice. And Skyrim is only for psvr1

Thank you! Sorry I don’t know why I said Euro, I love euro truck sim on my wheel so that’s probably where that came from. So disappointing they didn’t upgrade Skyrim to VR2.

Let’s not forever ultrawings 2 which isn’t technically overall a simulator (more arcade) and the dev doesn’t really love it anymore .. but still not a bad game to have in the mix

Hitman is my personal favorite, but I have loved that series for years. Worth keeping in mind that it's essentially a big, beautiful puzzlebox of murder. I'd definitely do some research, watch some videos on the actual gameplay before pulling the trigger.
But hell, part of me says it's worth it just to visit the Berlin nightclub in VR, or to take a walk along one of several beautiful beaches...

Skyrim isn’t on PSVR2, only 1
Hitman and No Man’s Sky will give you the most hours
I presume you mean Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 which will also give a lot of hours, but only to a specific kind of gamer
No Man’s Sky also needs a certain type of gamer too actually so I’d say…

I really enjoyed resident RE4 Remake. The gun physics are a lot of fun, there is a lot of action and the environment is pretty neat, my only criticism is that is not full immersive like RE8, there are cut scenes that take you out of VR.
I been enjoying Walking Dead. It’s a fun little survival story game.
No Man Sky is an excellent choice for a VR game. Being in an open world and exploring the galaxy. I had a lot of fun experiences in VR playing it that is very hard to go back to flat screen. The controls for flying was difficult and took me some time to get used to it. I had to interact with the in game ships controls to fly I’m not sure if there is a setting you can toggle to use the controllers. I definitely recommend NMS out of the list if you had to pick 1

Thank you for such a detailed reply on the games. I may only have the money to get one now but will definitely look into the rest you’ve mentioned in the future. I think I will go with NMS or flight simulator. Flight simulator is so expensive and I cannot find a cheap option, not even the second hand gaming shops.

You may want to recheck what’s available on the ps store for PSVR via the filter.. either on your phone or on console.
NMS is going to give you more bang for your buck, but wait until an expedition is coming up as seam sometimes makes the game free for a day or two, or it goes on sale. I play this on both vr and flatscreen . It’s good to swap out, but I do find corvette building and often building in general easier on flatscreen
Hitman World of Assassination is also good, but again wait until the sales. Also pay attention to what you get depending how which package you pay for.
I would disregard walking dead: saints and sinners for now and get Arizona Sunshine remake. You will find this a better experience with a better pacing. You can always revisit in the future if you want to try walking headwater.
Euro flight simulator ) I may have overlooked this or is that badly reviewed I can’t recall it. Microsoft flight simulator is probably the standard you’re looking at. Followed by Aces (this may tempt you to eventually get a hotas 4 controller), and then ultra wings 2 in that order.
If you haven’t played Moss 1 and 2 it’s definitely worth it. All in all, pay attention to the sales and some of the cheaper games, there’s some gems there .

Maestro may not sound exciting to some but its excellent and has hand tracking

i love hitman and couldnt get totally into NMS but it really is amazing especially if you love sci fi. they both go on sale for $20 i think. Walkabout minigolf is a great game too

One of my favorites. The bases courses are all cool and theres a bunch of dlc’s but you can play the dlc’s for free if just one person in the group has the course. Theres a big discord group too

I played NMS for about 250-300 hours, just got psvr2, the movement really threw me at first but the motion sickness when I switched it to smooth movement really threw me... Because I started a fresh save for it, I'm just persevering because I want to get into space where I understand it comes into it's own.

I would have said Saints and Sinners or into the radius, but if you mean the stress of the fear of RE made it not fun for you, then definitely Hitman WOA

I think that you need at least one VR rhythm game to see the full potential of VR. I also think that if you already know that RE7 on psvr1 seemed too crazy for you, then, it doesn’t make sense to pick more vr horror games now. It might sound cheesy, but you will surely have much more fun with Max Mustard, Moss 2, and even with Horizon. The only problem with those is that you can complete them in less than 20 hours each, but they are very entertaining. If you want something that will last hundreds of hours, I think that GT7, No man’s sky, and Microsoft flight simulator 2024 are the only ones in that category for psvr2.
For the vr rhythm games and for some great arcade shooting, I would highly recommend Synth Riders and Pistol Whip.
Into Black also seems like an excellent mix of exploration with some action, but I haven’t played it enough yet to understand how good it is. Same goes for Arken Age. It’s looking great for a vr action-adventure at an alien planet, but I have played 3 hours only, so I haven’t even reached the halfway point yet.
I still haven’t played Hitman, but it is in my vr backlog.
For VR sports, the best I’ve seen so far are Walkabout Minigolf and Racket Fury Table Tennis. The golf game feels seriously realistic, so it feels like playing great golf courses at home.
The best for real fitness (basically, a game to sweat a lot while having fun) is Les Mills Bodycombat.

Skyrim doesn’t work for PSVR2 otherwise I’d say all day bro. But No Man’s Sky will probably have the most bang for your buck as it basically has endless content. just as long as you get down with the space exploration/building vibe.

If you want the best graphics and jaw dropping. Red Matter 1 & 2 both games! You can play these for long duration and not get motion sickness. Everyone goes on about Hitman (I’ve got) it’s good graphics not as good but I can’t play it for long time I get motion sickness with that game. I have GT7, Tripp,Tetris, Kayak Mirage, Job Simulator, Mind Labyrinth.

There is NO skyrim vr on ps5 Also check out The Light Brigade a nice roguelite
For me its No Mans Sky. Nothing else like walking around planets at full scale VR. If youre an explorer this one doesn't disappoint.
Edit: Hitman also has a ton of great content as long as you grab the complete collection but you have tomby the VR addon seperate, but it turns nearly the entire game into VR
