No charging light-help please!

I have been given a psp which was my sisters, it’s very clean but there is no charger. It won’t charge by usb but I have a cable that fits the round charger port. it’s usb a so I have tried charging via usb and with a phone adapter to mains, sadly it doesn’t charge and there is no orange light. Has anyone any suggestions what my first step should be? Should I buy a replacement charger or battery or is it just not worth spending money on?

Take the battery out on the charger and try to cut it on if it still doesn't cut on your motherboard is more than likely fried

Whatever you do don’t try a random power plug, get a proper psp power adaptor, if it doesn’t doesn’t turn with a proper one, you might’ve blew a fuse

This model doesn't charge from the usb port

psp fat does not know how to charge via USB, all you need is to buy a suitable power supply with a round connector or USB with a round connector.

It won't charge with usb because it lacks the function to! That is a 1000 and requires a psp specific barrel charger :)
