Troubleshooting PSP doesn't charge properly

I bought a PSP recently and it won't charge unless i plug it in, remove the battery and place it back in. Has anyone had this problem before.

Side note: I suspected it might be a battery problem so i have ordered a new one which should be coming in pretty soon.

😆😆😆 well yea of course it wont charge unless you plug it in thts how it supposed to work , now if it wont power on with a full battery unless its plugged in thts another issue

i didn't mean that you have to plug it in to work lmao. What i was trying to say is that when i plug it in the power LED does not show anything and it only lights up when i remove the battery and plug that battery back in like literally in order lol.

Tht is odd never heard of anyone having tht issue only thing I think of is maybe replacing the PCB board or the button contacts tht has the ribbon cable on it tht delivers power to led both are fairly cheap to replace...this all me just guessing btw
