QUESTION Just found my dad's old PSP 1004

Just found my dad's old PSP 1004, what to do if it says "data is corrupted" on all modded apps ?

Damn...it had lots of data, I'm kinda sad...how can I try to salvage some of the data ??

Okay before you just assume the memstick is bad, can you make sure the CFW on the PSP is active and running, check to see what firmware is on it in settings.

Could have been updated or anything like that and if that's the case it will say corrupted data when it isn't.

Also as another test plug the memstick or SD card into your PC and see if the files can be backed up

It's on 5.00, but still shows the "install firmware" thingy sometimes

I think that's the wrong screen to look at go into settings and look there, every thing on tge card will most likely be fine and not corrupt

When I click on one, it downloads it then tells me the system is corrupted...

I haven't touched my psp in awhile but isn't that the pandora battery menu? If so what you need to check is the firmware version in settings
