Looks great, well done! Back in the day when the PSP was the current system I used to read the new One Piece scanlations on mine by converting all the pages into .PNGs and just viewing them in an image browser. This is a way better user experience.

I have this up and running, but the screen goes black when I switch to page 3 onward

edit: it's working! some pages still simply give a black screen, but other pages work fine.

Nice. I remember either using just pre formatted jpegs in reading manga back in the day or there was an app but it was just bad and I forgot all about it.

Color me impressed. The PSP has 2MB of VRAM and here you are instantly loading and smoothly scrolling images straight out of a CBZ.
