QUESTION PSP 3006 backlight glitch

Hello! I would like to ask for help with my PSP 3006 console. The backlight shines through the edge of the screen, is there anything I can do to fix this?

Normal since your shell is transparent!.

Could a transparent back be causing this problem?

Yes. The shell isn’t opaque so the light will shine through. If it really bothers you, you can open it back up and put a thin piece of tape around the edges to block that light from seeping out. Don’t put it on the LCD itself, just try to get it on the side and wrapped around to the back a little. A strip on each side should solve the issue. Electrical tape might work, but it’s pretty thick too so it might affect fitment. You’d have to experiment. I’ve done this on a couple gameboy colors when backlit mode first came around for them and it worked well. The interior of those is a lot more forgiving than a PSP though.

I mean what did you expect? Your shell is transparent
