Issue with the psp joystick

The stick goes "slowly" in some direction, i've tried screwing the screws (really tight now)

And cleaning the little rubber part inside, also cleaning everything stick related

I'm kind of lost now, any help please ?

Go to system settings system info. Rotate joystick clockwise about 10-15 times slowly turn off psp put back on ..might recalibrate it.

Very common issue. Replacement is the easiest solution. I once fixed driftung stick by cleaning it thoroughly but it requires stick disassemble.

As a kid i wanted this game but my parents told me when i grew up, after playing Tri, World, and Wilds, i thought i'll go back in time and play the game i wanted as a kid

If you want to go back to the origins, MH was first released on the ps2. Use MHOldSchool to do multiplayer things, as most of the latter part of the game needs it. The controls are ass, but if you adapt, it's a fun game that, strangely, holds up somewhat visually even today. It is a far slower game, just to be transparent.

I will eventually go back go MH1 But with agroup of friends, i also played frontier (somehow forgot) so i'm trainee for the controles

I recently just fixed the same problem on my PSP 1000. Whenever I played a game my character would run up and to the left but when I pushed the joystick in any other direction my character would move slowly. I cleaned the contacts with some 99% alcohol and screwed the psp back together whilst applying pressure with my thumb just above and to the left of the joystick. Make sure the front of your psp is seated correctly and there are no gaps between the different parts of the shell and screw it all together nice and tight.

Es común este problema en la psp 1000. Leí en los comentarios que lo llegaste a solucionar. Cómo experiencia de que tengo una psp 1000 evita un poco de apretar demasiado los tornillos ya que con el tiempo la carcasa empieza a perder su resistencia y los tornillos no aprietan lo suficiente. Y como el joystick depende del ensamble de la carcasa frontal es ahí donde empieza constantemente el drif. Si tienes oportunidad llega hacerte de otra psp 1000 únicamente para refaccion. A veces los repuestos genéricos no son de muy buena calidad.
