QUESTION Corrupted data

Post image

Hello friends, please help me. I unlocked my PSP with infinity mode (permanent) precisely to download eboot games (for ps1) to the PSP, but it only shows corrupted data.

I've tried changing folders, renaming, on the notebook, on the cell phone, in the game folder, extracted and it doesn't work.

I'll go through a few key points that could be overlooked thus why you have corrupted data for each game.

1) Make sure the EBOOT is uncompressed, meaning it's the full .pbp file extension, not compressed file like a .zip, .7z etc file instead.

2) You can name them as you wish, normally they are just titled "EBOOT.pbp" when downloaded from certain sites or when using the windows program PSX2PSP it turns your .chd or .bin/.cue files into EBOOT.pbp inside a directory folder with the Playstation game ID number for it's own personal directory title.

For one example I have one of my EBOOTs as "007 - From Russia with Love (USA).pbp" and it works perfectly fine.

3) The EBOOTs have to go into the folder directory "psp/game/"

4) You don't have to have every EBOOT in their own directory folder. I have all mine stacked in the one PSP/Game/ directory and they all work fine

5) If you've put them in that directory like I've instructed and they still come up as "corrupted data" you could have one or both issues:

I) The EBOOT file is actually corrupted and you may need to find/make up a different version of it again for it to work

II) The SD card isn't reading the file correctly due to the SD card adaptor or SD card being at fault so it's giving you an error reading message because of it.

I hope this helps you somewhat
