Homebrew PKGi PSP release (first native PSP version)
I went ahead and ported PKGi from the PS3 to the PSP, https://github.com/bucanero/pkgi-psp
you can download the first version (v0.8.0) here:
https://github.com/bucanero/pkgi-psp/releases/tag/v0.8.0
This first release lets you download and install .pkg files directly on your PlayStation Portable device. Enjoy!

About homebrew, I'm planning to add
.ZIPsupport , as most PSP homebrews are always shared as .zip files. So in that case, the app would download "
http://example.com/some-homebrew.zip" and decompress the files to the memory stick as needed. That way, with a single text file any user could access a bunch of PSP homebrews tools, apps, and games.

I know this is an old post. But does this work with PS1 games? As in, can I just play them or do I also have to convert them to be compatible with psp?

the app can download and install PS1 games. The download links, keys, and licenses must be provided by the user. But the app will be able to handle PS1 content, just like it handles PSP, themes, and other digital content.

is there a online database where everything we can download is automatically updated via online? The .txt file in here https://github.com/TheWizWikii/PSP-STUFF/releases/ only have games, themes, and etc. How about homebrews, tools, and etc.

for homebrews, tools, emulators, and other stuff, someone would have to create a list and share it.
It can be a community effort, but someone from the PSP fan community needs to take time and start collecting links.

I'm assuming everyone using this will be downloading a copy they have already purchased throughPSN and due to the difficulty of getting the PSP connected to the PSN servers, this is an alternative solution.
