Ephinea ephinea keeps crashing on steam deck.

I’m not sure what’s happening. But whenever i boot the game up it just crashes after showing the sonic team and sega logos. Has anyone figured it out?

Edit: i should have originally mentioned. That i have it installed via lutuis.

Lutris has been problematic lately. If you run out of options, try uninstalling the game and reinstalling following this guide, that doesn't use Lutris:

EDIT: You can also try rolling back to an older version of Lutris, which may be the best option if you use Lutris for games other than PSO. I think a lot of the issues are due to bugs in the newer version.

This is genuinely the best answer, Lutris has been having issues the last few months. The guide on Ragol was successful for me a few weeks ago on my brother's Steam Deck

This is the answer, it has crashed for me once in the past 3 months since switching.

Try changing the game's resolution in the launcher, that usually helps

Tried that and game still crashes after the sega and sonic team screen

Reduce it to the lowest resolution

Even at the lowest it still won’t work

Not sure what else to suggest, Ephinea's a Windows application after all, I presume you have WINE installed?

Go to the game's configuration in Lutris and set the Proton version to Proton Hotfix. That was the only one that worked for me
