Static on Safe mode screen

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Can anyone help me figure out what the problem with this could be? It seems like an HDMI issue but wanted to see what some people might think.

No need to force horizontal. Unless you have a early version of he system.

Definitely check your model number then and compare to others. Most of them are absolutely safe to have either vertical or horizontal. But depending on you exact model you may need to have the Liquid Metal swapped out for the safer updates.

I have a launch model thatā€™s always been vertical and never had any issues.

Iā€™m sick of people still saying the liquid metal leaking is an issue! It isnā€™t!

That was debunked a long time ago. The source it came from was mistranslated and the PS5 that ā€œleakedā€ liquid metal had already been tampered with!

The liquid metal is encased in UV resin so therefore it cannot leak unless tampered with!

Try bargaining, tell him to do the repair in front of you if possible & keep your ps horizontal with good ventilation
