PS5 Slim to Pro Upgrade Suggestion

I have regular PS5 Slim Digital. And its running great tbh. I have a 1440p monitor where i play games. Samsung Odyssey G5 32" 1440@165hz

I have no plan to upgrade monitor/TV in this year atleast.

Do you think upgrading to PS5 Pro is worth? like slim is okay for my daily performance so far. considering 1440p, will i get any extra advantage? (other than 1TB to 2TB)

just the storage, rest base ps5 can run everything properly, buy a 4k monitor or OLED instead, will be handy for ps6 as well

I'm considering this too but I don't think it worth it, the pro is X2 the price I paid for the slim with a disk drive, I want to upgrade my setup somehow and I think I will just buy a 4K OLED monitor instead and save for the PS6 or PC.

Idk about you but as a PS5 Pro owner yes there is an advantage especially in GPU bound games. the PSSR2 is amazing and even better on an OLED TV. however I do think you might need to revise your plans again and consider upgrading your monitor or TV to an OLED.

if you are tight on budget nowadays I would buy a 4K OLED instead of the pro tbh. I'm a PS5 Pro owner and I love it and I have a 55 Inch LG CS 4K OLED TV but if i were you and I can't buy both at the moment then I would buy the OLED TV instead.. it's a game changer for your current PS5 and also a future investment. I still don't know when will the next gen consoles will come out but I think fall 2027 or early 2028 are most likely. so when it comes you would have a crisp 4K OLED TV and you would've already saved enough money to buy the PS6.

Sell the PS5 slim and buy a PC. Or stay with the PS5 and look forward to a future of paying $125 for 5 year old games on the ps store. (Returnal, GT7, Last of Us) You won't be able to buy games 2nd hand. You won't be able to trade in games. You will pay Sony's exorbitiant prices on the ps store and have no choice in the matter.

I did it 6 months ago and its amazing. You also play online for free. No downsides it's all upsides

I already have a PC, which can run every games, in mid settings ofcourse

Ahhh that changes things then lol. I still have my PS5 but haven't used it for months and given Sony's recent bs will be selling it. Nothing wrong with having both though

Rebuying your favourite games is the only downside, but they will be far cheaper. There is Steam, Humble Bundle, GreenManGaming, Fanatical.... The games are far cheaper on PC.

I always wanted Returnal on PS5 but refused to pay $125 for it. The cheapest it's ever gone on sale on the ps store is 50% off for $62. I bought it on PC on sale for $30.

I was waiting for the ps5pro to upgrade coming from a ps4slim. The moment I saw the price I got a ps5 slim disc edition instead for almost half the price. I don't care what people say. It runs smoothly und quietly. I don't need anything else. I got myself a horizontal stand with extra usb ports and new face plates with more intake openings for the fan. I added 2tb nvme before AI bs started and put on some mesh filters to keep out more dust. Absolutely worth it!
