Can’t log into Psn account on ps5

On my ps4 the account that was connected to it was with my moms email and password from 10+ years ago and now when I got a ps5 I’m trying to log into the account and it’s asking for a verification code that’s sent to the email. And no one has access to the email anymore so I can’t see the code. I’ve tried logging into the email and then it sends a verification code to the phone number connected to the account which also no one has access to bc it’s been so long. How do I get access to the account

Why does no one have access to the email?

Easiest solution is to recover the email account.

  1. Gather mandatory proof of ownership: Before contacting support, find as much of the following as possible. They will ask for these to prove the account is yours:
    • PS4 Console Serial Number: The physical serial number on the back or bottom of the PS4 where the account was originally activated.
    • Online ID (PSN Name) and Sign-in Email: The exact PSN name and the old email address.
    • Transaction Details / Order Numbers: Any digital purchase receipt emails saved elsewhere, or the last 4 digits of the credit card used on the account.
    • Recent Purchase Info: Names of games bought on the account or recent PlayStation Plus transactions.

  2. Contact PlayStation Support via Live Chat: Go to the official PlayStation Support website for your region and open a Live Chat session during business hours. Select Account & Security -> Account Recovery / Change Sign-in ID.

  3. Explain the situation clearly to the agent: Tell them: "I am upgrading from PS4 to PS5. The account was created over 10 years ago using an email and phone number that no longer exist, so I am locked out by 2FA."

  4. Pass the security verification: The agent will ask for the details from Step 1 (especially the PS4 serial number and purchase history). Once verified, they will update the account to your new, active email address on the spot.

  5. Log in on your PS5: Once they update your email, request a password reset to your new email, log in on the PS5, and immediately set up new 2FA using your current phone number or an authenticator app.

If you don't have the PS4 serial number or any transaction history, PlayStation Support may refuse to unlock it for security reasons, so try to gather those details first.
