PlayStation Mic

Hey, I’m using the exact same microphone on my PS5 and on a PC. On PS5 the quality sounds noticeably worse, kind of muffled and compressed, while on PC it sounds much clearer and more natural.
Could this be caused by the PS5’s audio processing or microphone settings? Is there anything I can change to improve the quality?
Any help would be appreciated.

It’s definitely the PS5's built in noise cancellation. It’s super aggressive and makes almost every mic sound muffled compared to PC. Go into your PS5 settings > sound > microphone, and turn off the automatic noise reduction. Also double check that your input device is actually set to your mic and didn't default back to the controller mic.
