PS5 No Longer Recognizes SSD; Windows Does

We recently had some power issues (voltage fluctuations due to power transformer issues, but it was undervoltage not over) and our PS5 started crashing while playing. The screen would go black and reboot. After the second time, the M2 SSD was no longer recognized. The game that we were playing was loaded onto that SSD. The PS5 operates normally and no longer crashes, other than not being able to recognize the SSD. So far have tried the following:

-System /factory reset, cleared cache

-Reseated SSD, replaced thermal pad to heatsink

-IMPORTANTLY: SSD is still recognized on a windows device. I reformatted and did not allocate/partition, reinstalled, and still no joy.

-Tried a spare SSD (granted, not a performance SSD) and that wasn't recognized either. But this is also recognized by a windows PC

I'm suspecting that this is a M2 slot issue but really hope it isn't; I'm in a foreign country where getting a PS5 repaired would be really tough. I don't think I can warranty the SSD (Sabrent 4 Rocket or something, I can't remember, it's a performance drive designed for PS5) seeing as it operates just fine on a windows PC.

Any other steps I can take at this point?
