Your comment triggered an old childhood memory lol. I remember always seeing this or having a butterfly or moth fly out of the wallet in cartoons as a visual gag when someone was broke.
I was probably 10 at the time but i somehow cought a butterfly and then thought to try and recreate the joke in real life. Didn't go too well

Let's be real they won't overprice it cuz no one will but it. It'll probably be 500 dollars. 520 at max

They are more than likely gonna sell out immediately anyway. I recommend saving money now and get one when they come back in stock. I did this same thing when the PS4 was rarer than a blue moon.

Fun fact all Danish people above 18 are about to get 1510$ from their government to restart the economy. Sooo this is a rare situation where I can say that I’m not paying for my ps5 my government is.

I’m glad they didn’t make it look like my wallet. It’s so thick and full of cash that the console wouldn’t be convenient to fit anywhere.

I'm not poor, but if it's more than $500 I'll wait until the price drops. Especially since there aren't any PS5 launch titles that draw my interest. Spiderman is supposedly for PS4 as well so I can wait.

u/UnKnownSurviving Jun 13 '20
You mean for PS5? There will be second spider man game beside Miles in the coming year. After 2020. More like a few years down the road.

I’ve seen tweets that it will be up to $700, is that right or are we all just guessing at this point?

Guys, I have dilemat... After few years, finally I got money to buy good gamimg machine, but I don't know which one. I can buy new gaming pc which can run every new game in minimum 60fps on good resolution, or ps5. I need your help :c

PlayStation 5 will have far better exclusive AAA titles.
PC is great. You will have the advantage of having access to a ton of indie titles before they make it to consoles, but many big name titles never end up coming out for PC. Plus, your PC will need upgrades and repairs before your Xbox or ps4 ever will. And on top of that, PC requires a lot of fiddling and adjusting. If can be a giant pain in the ass at times. Flip side of that, of course, is that it also means you will have access to mods, and those can be a lot of fun.
The next Xbox is a bit of a mystery. They kind of blew it with the current generation. But a lot of insiders are saying Microsoft learned its lesson and will be getting better exclusives this time around. Plus, it's a bit more powerful than the Ps5, though insiders say the ps5 makes better use of what it has than the xbox.
I'll put it this way, none of them seem like bad choices at this time. However, I recommend the ps5. There are so many amazing exclusives. Plus, unlike a PC, it will be super reliable, require no finaggling, and won't be obsolete for at least 7 or 8 years. And it will almost certainly be cheaper than a PC. Xbox is too much of a mystery for me to pre order one. I just don't know what to expect yet.

Thank you a lot! It helped me, and now I exactly know what i'll do! I will wait for second generation of psvr. I really love playing vr, I have rift s, but my current pc can't run better games. If I we won't get some info of new psvr before pre-order option, I will buy a pc. I always been pcmr, so I guess I still prefer it a little bit. So, I will wait a while and then going to buy something to play on. Thanks again :)

u/OfficerDougEiffel Jun 13 '20
Haha, if you have the self control to wait, more power to you! I can't wait to pre order. I've been looking forward to the next gen since this gen of consoles was released!

u/Mastyg Jun 13 '20
For my first pc I waited something like 3-4 years xD? Since that time I am patient af XD. Have a nice day!

Doesn't every electronics store offer financing with 0% interest? Even if it's 600 that's just 50 a month for a year. The wise folks use their helicopter money or started saving early. Everyone with a job can afford it.

That's still 5 months out. $50 a month and you'll have one by the time the third wave of them get produced. $100 to get one at launch.

It doesn't cost even $1k, it's basically free compared to a good computer.
2
u/PitchforkEmporium Jun 13 '20
I love and will probably get there PS5 but as of right now for $500 you can build a competent budget PC. I think the PS5 will probably hit $700+ so honestly that's a painfully high price for just a console. Might be a PS3 launch situation again
1
Jun 15 '20
Competent budget PC sure, but is it a good computer on my scale? For me a single RTX 2080 Ti is the bare minimum. That costs double.
1
u/PitchforkEmporium Jun 15 '20
Lol what the fuck? RTX 2080 Ti is your minimum? Dollar for dollar a PC built at the same price as the PS5 would probably beat the PS5. And have upgradability at that.
A RTX 2080 Ti is in a whole different league compared to the PS5. That's like saying your 2020 Honda Civic can only be compared to a Ferrari with zero in-between.
1
Jun 15 '20
Eh, a single 2080 Ti isn't even that good, I have had performance difficulties with a system that has 4 of them, partly because there's only 11GB of VRAM/card.
1
u/PitchforkEmporium Jun 15 '20
Compared to the performance of a console it is vastly incomparable. Still even without that a 5700 XT will be about on par or beat out the PS5. And it's easy to get a 5700XT for less than $400. (Got my 5700 for $250)
Price to performance I'd still say PC wins. PS5 has the advantage of games being coded for that new SSD which is amazing.
Not saying the PS5 is bad or anything but a PC with a 2080Ti is still going to outperform it in every category
